I hate confrontations. Hates ’em!!
I wander back over any confrontation, dissecting it, looking at my responses, questioning my actions, stance and resolve, to the point of obsession. Was my stance justified? Could I have stated that response better? (usually a resounding ‘youbetcha!’) Etc etc.
And I always feel like the other side is able to just walk away from it without a glance back, and that makes me question my points even more.
I know there are times where “you have to let it go”. I get that, and fail dramatically at it.
And all of that is a big reason I have become a Hermit on a Hill, and have more Dog Friends than people friends (kitties to. But they tend to be even more curmudgeonly than I) And everyone of my current friends (two legged) can tell you how all the doggums accept me as Pack within minutes, usually with slobbers and snuggling on my feet like I’m a long lost sib.
Dog is easy. Theres no bullshit involved, no posturing unless there is a hierarchy issue involved (and being a two feets, I don’t fit the hierarchy pattern, so I don’t have to deal with it) and no lies. You can’t lie when all body language is the chosen comm.
People on the other hand,,,
Fuggit!!! Its rainy,(again!!!) Its supposed to snow tonight and I am building the fire in the stove up. Gonna sit with a glass of Tennessee Rye, a computer and a storyline and to piss with that jackass that started the issue that inspired this post.
