Little schniggly things to do today. Mostly array oriented. Did some on those peices yesterday, but ran into a snag called “apathy”. Just didn’t much feel like playing with soldering irons and such; figured I has a three day weekend ahead and will need to fill in space.
And my follow-up post to yesterdays ‘Skillz’ post,,, ROUND FILED. I don’t do that much anymore, but that tripe,,, Hell, I tried and tried but could not filter out the pretentious attitude that kept percolating to the surface of it. Dunno what was going on in me hindbrain that made it so, but there it was and NO, I won’t subject you to that crap. Heck, most of my readers have skills of some sort or nother, I don’t think I need to preach about it. Get something under your belt that is useful in many ways. Like Grog being able to build a fire. And thats where I’m gonna leave that.
Signals in the world: I haven’t much contact with oodles of people, so my inputs are sort of biased by what I can glean from the webs. What I am reading is saying “this country is on the way out as a superpower: it just doesn’t know it yet.” Little things, like the “Presidency” not carrying the same wieght it did back in the late 90’s early Aughts. I don’t know. I haven’t words for the thoughts running rampant right now: they are far more emotional, though quite coherent and saying ‘Rig for storm’. As Fred said in Email to me. “I am convinced that several historical cycles are peaking or troughing (your choice) at the same time. Like sunspot cycles”
Yeah, I can see that. Several cycles running different frequencies, but are converging on a harmonic soon. Things will either blow the fuck up as they exceed the power limits of the system, or they flatline, draining things out.
Or we get canned sunshine. Gots enough of those to be a problem, and getting into hands that tend to ‘just blow ’em up’ attitudes.
I’m at odds here. I’m glad I’m young enough to be witness to the thing coming, but old enough to know I won’t have to live with the consequences. (or at least not live with them for very long.) Fred stated that we are witnessing things that will be on the history books for centuries, and maybe so. But I worry about that too. There is Large H history, and little H histories. The Large H histories are the ones recorded by people of the times, and only our last 2000-ish years got any of that written down,,, Theres a HUGE percentage of history that was only passed down by word of mouth/rote memorization in epic poems and song. Highly compressed and usually with no defined timeline involved.
And even with ‘Written History’ How much is dead wrong? Its all written by the victors, not the downtrodden, and the victors didn’t always talk about how things really went down: don’t want to talk about how they had to do ‘this’ to win since it was likely unethical as hell.
Time will tell. I don’t think the historians are gonna get it right either. We aren’t leaving traces like the Babylonians and Syrians did. Our words are on paper that rots fast, or embedded in electrons that go ‘poof’ as soon as the power is cut.
Get skills, learn the rock bottom basics of survival, and build from there. I can’t tell you what to do or how to do it, thats a thing you’ll need to figure for yourself. Just get it in your head that “This” reality you are comfortable in, may not exist tomorrow.
