Cognitive dissonance

I read the likes of This and I laugh. A mirthless laugh but to not laugh means I’m crying.

To quotr from the article: “What this means that the Republicans are finally going to get off their fat duffs and do something.“

Seriously?!?! The only repugnicans going to do anything are the same ones that should be sporting a big blue D at the tail end of their titles: McConnell yertle McTurtle comes to the forefront of my mind.

As for at the State level, the word is out ‘play ball and you get to stay at the trough’. Oh there might be some that aren’t corrupted, but the machine is targeted on them now, and they won’t be effective in the long run, and likely won’t make the next round of selections.

TINVOWOOT. There is no voting our way out of this. Grok it, understand it at your very core. They ‘won’ and have no desire to release the grab they have. (They know they will be lampost decorations if they do ‘lose’)

I’m not trying to be a defeatist here. I am being rational though, and what I read in that article sounds good but misses the point. The point that “They” want a fight, and will keep pushing and pushing until they get it. Its written into every stupid EO Gropey has signed over the last two weeks. Its written into the charges against President Trump◇ in this new Shampeachment. It was written into the pipeline shutdown cancelling fifty-six THOUSAND jobs. Learn to code? That field is as flooded as McD burger flippers. These asshats have zero clue as what keeps the wheels turning. But thats OKAY, because they don’t want these wheels turning, they want them to fall off and wreck the whole thing, so they can “build back better”. Yeah, we’ve seen that ‘better’ before. Recently like, in Venezuela no less. No thanks: I have zero desire to see my granbehbies fighting over the neighbors cat for their next meal.

◇ we know he won. THEY know he won, and admit in the very act of impeachment they are running. They admit it in the Times article saying they had to “fortify the election to save democracy”. Problem there(!)this aint a flippin democracy, its a republic!!! So I will continue to call Trump President, and may start using ‘in exile’ following it.
