But response to date has been
The center is empty, the halls ring with the sounds of silence. The enemy has taken the tower and the tower still stands.
I want to think that there are actions taking place behind the scenes and that real Americans are doing something.
Then I go out and see face diapers on a fat guy with a 2A shirt that looks like its 6 weeks behind on laundry service.
Some have said to just ‘get out while the doors are closing’ and a part of me wants to do just that. The other part wants to do the right thing but knows that to step off the porch solo is,,,, well, you may as well eat that barrel yourself because one is gonna be less painful than the other. And what I end up doing is “this” right here; venting into a barely read blog on a darkened street of the interwebs.
I’m 52. I have a few more years before the degenerative cartilage issues cripple me. I’d like to spend those few years LIVING, not fighting, but if fighting is what has to be,,, lets get that party started. I am humble enough to admit I am a nobody with no clout to get the ball rolling, but will be happy to get in and help push IF someone with the clout were to put it together.
I do not want my granbehbies to see what was seen in Russia through the 60s and 70s. I don’t want them to see a repeat of East Germany and the Berlin Wall.
But damned if we arent barrelling down that road.
