The Vultures next door

I need to relax.  This is either going ot work out, or it won’t.  If it does not, plan B.

I don’t know what plan B is just yet.    But like the rest of my life, I’ll figure it out.

I opened that memcard from the trailcamera on the Mac.   They spent a bit of time over there, maybe 2 hours, but what blew me away was the number of pics that camera had on it.   This place is chock full of wildlife.   Deer and rabbit mostly, (and I do know we have a Mama-Bear with twins running around, but she wasn’t on my cam.)    I had more pics of wandering deer and runnybabbits on that camera than Vultures of the wingless sort.   Sort of surprised me with the proximity of Feral Dawgs at bad Cuz’s place.

A patient man would NOT go hungry around here.   A lazy man would starve in the midst.

Cuz is a lazy man.

  1. Yeah… I waited years to put my water line in because I didn’t have an easement. They (a relative) kept saying “I don’t know why you want an easement. It’s not like I’m gonna cut your water off, we’re family”

I’ve seen two people lose their water because of no easement and no paperwork. Pass, that’ll ruin the value of my land if the water line gets cut and I don’t know what your kids are gonna do after you die. I didn’t mention the fact that they already reneged on an agreement that their mother had made…

You’re right to want the paperwork right and ask the I’s dotted and T’s crossed.

I finally got them to sign an easement and then I got a trencher and pipe. Yeah… lawyers and paperwork are a necessary evil in this world. It’s been that way for millennia. Even the ancient people had a method of entering into a sworn agreement or a covenant. It’s a sad but true testimony of human character.

Get your paperwork right, even if you gotta drive to Florida to do it. And if necessary, document their leaving and your taking care of the land and file for squatters rights. But don’t show those cards till you’ve got it locked in, otherwise they’ll fight it tooth and nail.

  2. I heard you can hang triple barbed fish hooks from the ceiling on hard-to-see filament line. You know, to catch vultures by the face.
