It’s a rainout,,, :-(

Its actually rainin’ today. Really Rainin’ so when the word came in (three minutes before my alarm was set to wake me) I didn’t feel (much) angst. I do have stuff I can make in the shop (one of those little jobs we had yesterday needs a couple gates) but when it rains like it is now, its nearly as wet in the shop as out. That roof leaks,,, Nothing like a water drop hitting your welding puddle to make for a bad day. Superheated steam and molten metal are not a good combination for skin integrity. (and yes I wear PPE, but not a full set of leathers, so some parts of me are sort of exposed.)

The kids are stickin’ close to house. The BoyKats are huggin’ the porch, looking mournfully at the woods. Don’t like that wet stuff, nopes, not one little bit. Mama is inside, as is Cozz; smarter or just not late enough? dunno.

Mamakat, 11 years old: her whole demeanor has started shifting to ‘matriarchKat’ and she doesn’t roam like she once did. Yesterday, as I was out working on stuff, she followed me around, having kitten-ish vibes, chasing bugs and blowing leaves, but wore out fast. By 6pm she was staying close to me, but finding places to curl up and snooze, Not play.

And I do believe, she has finally figured out the ‘luv you’ nip that other kats do. Used to be she would be feeling all luveedovey and CHOMP! then freak out because I yelled. (and more than once, was on the edge of needing stitches from said Chomp) Now, just little ‘these are my teefers’ nips and big buzzies since I don’t recoil in pain. I don’t know when the shift happened but its a decided thing now. I don’t cringe now when she is laying in lap and the head turns to me. That used to be sign she was getting ready to land the BITE on me. And the boys aren’t as paranoid of her psychotic episodes. I guess kittehs do that menopause thing too, and her hormones have settled down, FINALLY,,,,

as for the rain,,,, Looking at the national radar, looks like this is gonna blow through sometime today, and HOPEFULLY, we can get back on tracks tomorrow. No Time sucks, Some Time is better. Would really like to see FULL Time, but Talkin’round, we aren’t the only ones down. I was likely right that people are pulling means in tight, and seeing Diesel hit the $5/gal mark, its gonna get worser yet. Have some ideas on BlooTwuck and Vinyl Lettering ideas, and Label her as “Mobile SERVICES”, not just Mekaninkin’ stuff. Adjust my pricing as needed to get something flowing, build a base up. And try to keep overlap with the J.O.B. minimal. (Note: I held off on the lettering because I wanted to use Bloo for J.O.B. Bossman put his foot down on that (likely liability things) so now, Fuggit,,, Letter the hell out of her and make her my advertizing unit as well. Now, If I can get the sticker printer to communicate with the Lappy, I can do this meself and save some duhkies,,,, )

It’s still early in the day, not sure what I’ll be doing with rain and uggy weathers (called MUD)
