Here are two I use on myself regular like.

If you want something you never had, you likely have to do something you’ve never done.
One more, just for giggles.
You won’t always be motivated, so you must master discipline.
That one is my Achilles heel. Get me in a motivated moment, shit just seems to happen. Lose the motivation and the gears stop churning. My motivation is not a short burst thing, I will follow through to an ending. Sometimes its just getting the ball rolling that requires massive discipline: and thats the crux I am at currently. Getting the ball rolling on the followup to “Wings” .
To the readers of that story, as you know, a lot of that story revolved around potential events. Those events didn’t happen and now I have to go full bore fictional to carry the story line further. Thats where I need my discipline currently: establishing the remaining plot without the crutch of real world events. And like I keep saying “you can’t make up shit like we have seen”. That intimidates me a touch.
So, phone down, internet switch OFF, and figger it out Dio!!!!
