One of my biggest issues and one I see is rather commonplace of late; reasoning with the left.
Like the whole “Freedom of Speech ” crap that is cooking along right now. A guest poster over a Sarahs has a good boil down of the soup that makes it up. The problem is logic and reason never seem to take Center Stage for most all on the left. It always seems to be about “FEELZZZ”.
I’ve said it. Friends have said it. “ I don’t give a damn about the content of your speech, I will defend your right to say it with my life. Don’t have to like it, or agree with it. Thats not the point.” And that is not being reciprocated. People are being canceled left and right for speaking their minds, all because some buttercup got offended.
And then the History scrubbing thing that is happening in all public institutions of indoctrination.
And we have the whole ‘Guns’ Issue forthcoming. The following is a perfect arguement, and one that hits multiple points. Sadly, it doesn’t get used near enough IMO.
And there are those that argue there is no need to carry a gun. Umkay, riddle me this. When I lived in Cincy, the last couple of years I also lived in a very rough side of town. I worked rehabbing old buildings for a guy and usuallly worked alone. I carried. Never was fucked with. When I started carrying openly around my apartment, I had a neighbor THANK me!!! She said it was nice because the hoodlums moved on to ‘quieter areas’ that didn’t have a “white guy sporting big ugly on his hip.” Her words, and she about blinded me with the smile on her face saying it. Yeah, it was a darker neighborhood. Rent was cheap and being recently separated; cash flow was tight and I had a kick ass landlord. The only incident at that place and time was being put on the ground by a local PD because she was not aware that open carry was completely legal. Her supervisor straightened her out but it took awhile. Never had another problem.
Yes, back in October I had a fool pull a gun on me and even shot at me. My stance didn’t change(and won’t). I still think proper training is in order if someone weren’t raised around them, and I know there are insecure fools, like dude that shot up my truck, that think a gun gives them power or something. Its just a damned tool, and ANY tool in the wrong hands can be dangerous, even to being fatal. He could have killed me just as dead with a hammer or a baseball bat. 100 years ago the advertisers used the term ‘equalizer ‘ for Colt Arms because it gave a woman a fighting chance against those bigger than herself, but it even then, it was considered a tool. We’ve lost that attitude as a society, and its going to bite those of us that still have it.
But how do you argue your points, completely valid points, if the oposition won’t heed logic, reason or even Math? I can show where the leading murder weapon is NOT a gun, but a 16oz framing hammer. If I recall correctly, a handgun was 3rd or 4th on that list and a rifle never listed in single casualty listings; only in mass shootings and those are far rarer than individual murders.
And then you have the outright lies being propagated by the media. I saw today that the US is approaching 500000 deaths from the Rona. BUT, if you look at the breakdown by the leading health agencies, its a far lower number where the Rona was the cause, and not overlying co-morbities. Nor are they saying age groups, time spans, nothing. The whole thing is a fear-mongering headline in intent, because they know that 96%of the population isn’t going to follow up or read more than ” ‘half a million corpses from Wuhanflu!!!’ Eek, gotta get more masks!!!!”
And I wont even go into the VaX that isn’t, but oh lord, God Forbid I QUESTION the Saints of BIGPharma. And that is all I will say on that here.
And I’ll be honest, there are days where I question my position on saving people that have no critical thinking skills or any desire to question, well, frickin anything. That maybe Gates and his Ilk have the right of it by wanting to knock the world population down a decimal place or two. Yeah, that makes me sound inhuman as hell: then I watch “IDIOCRACY” ,,,, That danged movie was meant to be satire, but its sure feels prophetic when you look around without the filters on your mind. (And now I need to take a very hot shower to clean myself of that filthy thought.) (And to those that think I’m exxagerating the claim of B.G. wanting a population decrease, you’d best sstart researching some of those foundations he puts a lot of money into.)(also, the ones that BG and Ilk wanna eliminate are people like me, that DO question everything, especially ‘Author-i-TIE!’. Fug’gem!!!)
“What we have here, is a failure to communicate.” Oh ain’t that the damned truth. Its very hard to communicate with some one that has their fingers in their ears screaming at you that you’re a racist/facist/white supremacist/bigot/’xxxxx’phobe etc.
And my dad wonders why I go kayaking even when it’s cold and rainy.
And I really, really, REALLY, need that fix, and soon. (And we have had 3 days on the high 50s,,, 🤞🤞🤞🤞)
