Nothing major, and nothing 10 stitches didn't take care of, but its slowed me up some. I was at work yesterday and while cutting some steel stock, the cutting disc came apart, whipped around and bit me. Twice. Two deep gouges on the back of my left hand and quite a bit of bleeding but … Continue reading A minor setback

So, I kinda had a working weekend. Too cold to get out on the water, rained most of the weekend, and when it wasn't raining, the wind was playing merry hob with things. In fact, one of my gages I had made for this build took flight at one point. Found it near the treeline … Continue reading Dio vs Yak rnd 6
Recap on Round 5

Thats 68 holes that need cut and cleaned … Continue reading Dio vs Yak rnd 5 (cont)

(and I am certain there is a carpenter or three out there than can say, "Duh!") Yeah,,, I'm a mechanic/welder. … Continue reading Dio vs Yak rnd 5
Ah-hah, now it makes sense!
I've said it before, and I fail to heed it myself at times. When the media is frothing at the gumline, about how horrible something is, be it weather or politics, you had best look under the curtain to see what the hell they are hiding. In this case, the Kavanaugh ascendence. Horrid right wing … Continue reading Ah-hah, now it makes sense!
Sawmill day.
WOOHOOO!!!!! Wood is back from the mill. 11' log 14" diameter didn't yield much, but I haven't need for much. 7 very usable planks outta 9 total. The 2 oddballs will be cut down to something more usable, so no loss there either. What doesn't get used makes killer kindling wood and winter is fast … Continue reading Sawmill day.
