Saw that coming,,,

Ratcliffe bends over in front of Deep state, Lets see what I can extrapolate from recent and current events. We have scotus drop the ball, with rumors that the justices had a screaming match with Roberts leading the charge of "they would lay the ensuing riots on us. Do you want that?" Now we have … Continue reading Saw that coming,,,

More words to spread

While I am not at her stage, IE, my nest is empty and what I have, I can regain again later,(as long as I am breathing that is) but I do understand what is holding people back. More on that after the 'quoted' post with link. Open Letter from an American Coward Sarah Chamberlain2 days … Continue reading More words to spread

Damn Gina,,,

I've said it and said it. "Sarah is a much better writer than I." Go read the whole thing, please. And right out of the gates she states: "Just so you know, you are not crazy. They REALLY are trying to get in your mind and change it to validate their insane assumptions and their … Continue reading Damn Gina,,,

Hump day reflections

December 16, 2020 by diogenesoftherifle, posted in Uncategorized

Stuck at home today. Cold. Rain. Short daylight. Such is how it is with seasonal contract work. But I'm watching, observing, and thinking. Big one was word that Nevada Electors voted Trump. Faithless Electors they are called. I think they are seasoned humans aware that there is a shitstorm in progress and made a decision … Continue reading Hump day reflections

Division

Who wants to work for nothing? Find someone willing and ask them why the idea is so appealing. I'll wait. Nothing huh? Not one person? Not really surprised. But so many want this thing called socialism. (Read communism) Why? Because there are promises that you'll be taken care of 'no matter what'. And that 'no … Continue reading Division

Lets talk third world

December 15, 2020December 16, 2020 by diogenesoftherifle, posted in Uncategorized

I spent a little time overseas while on my military stint.  I got to see some real shithole places in the world. I've told some of those stories here a time or two, but I think it might be time for a little revisit and clarification. People on the downside here in the US, have … Continue reading Lets talk third world

I ain’t giving up

December 15, 2020December 16, 2020 by diogenesoftherifle, posted in Uncategorized

But I am giving up hope that this will be settled in a civilized way. Yesterday was a two-fer. The Electoral college votes were sealed and sent to Congress to await the Jan6 "decision day". It was also the day a court lifted the gag order on a forensics team and allowed them to post … Continue reading I ain’t giving up

WINGS OF CHANGE

What happens when a wounded veteran, a computer genius, and a handful of fiercely independent misfits decide that the best way to change the world is to stop waiting for someone else to do it?

G has spent years flying from a wheelchair, learning to make the sky obey him even when his body won’t. T is a computer wizard with a mysterious past, an enormous extended family, and a talent for turning impossible ideas into working machines.

Together, they build things that shouldn’t exist.

Aircraft that push the limits of what remote flight can do. Technology born in garages and workshops instead of corporate boardrooms. And a community of people who have decided that family isn’t necessarily something you’re born into.

But building extraordinary machines attracts attention.

Soon G, T, and their growing family find themselves caught between government agencies, competing agendas, and people who would very much like to know exactly what they’re capable of. What began as tinkering and experimentation is becoming something far more consequential.

Because when you build something powerful enough to change the rules, eventually somebody comes looking for the keys.

A beginner’s guide to going off grid. how to evaluate if you even want to make the attempt. written by the curmudgeonly author of this blog and his dog
