Krazeekakes muhnday

For the record.  Three fishplates welded to gantry crane at center weld.    20 minutes later, I’m standing on the Truck bed, with load chains draped on four corners and the bed is floating above the frame of the truck.  

And that crane never creaked or groaned.

As fot the truck bed,,, Not so much happy.   Been wrastlin’ that thing around and finally have it lined up where I’m comfortable.   Made the front support bed to frame.  Have a section of 1.5″ square tube supporting the back, and used a section of cardboard to figure the plate that needs welded in.   Thats all set up for wednesday as tomorrow is a feild day.   Tear out of a old wood fence for replacement with ???: dunno.  Above my paygrade. 

and apologies, no pics for ya.  Was busy and the thought of using a camera was far over the horizon.

But the “burned my ass thing”   Bossman asked me at 3:30 “are you done with it?”

and there was a conversation that took place that I couldn’t tell you what was actually discussed.   I even walked away saying, “I’m getting away from you before I start screaming”    Confusion from word go and when I tried to clarify points, “thats not what I said,,,”   Only, ya, you DID just say that,,,  My recall isn’t that skewed.  

I’m gonna need the day out in the feild to clear my mind of that chaos.   

But that “are you done with it?” thing,,, I’m good, I’m not superman, and he had the crew of five all day, not me.   I borrowed a couple as needed, (like hoisting the bed up) but for the most part, all me.   thats a lot of crap to be fartin’ around with, but its obvious that the expectations around me and my abilities, are pretty damned high.  (and more than a little ignorance of the job at hand.  He has no clue what I am doing, why, or how. 

OK, its hot, needs food, drink and a shower in no particular order.   I’m beat.   and maybe a little cranky for it too.   So, I’ll call it on that.
