trouble?

Got a call on arrival home.  Guy complaining that someone threw a ton of business cards out.  MINE (supposedly.  Pic he sent looks like a mess of business cards from around town.)   (I’ve put out around 100 cards so far, various businesses.  Not more than 10 in any one place.)

Threatening to call County on me.   I see whats happening here.   Someone wants a lawsuit.   Shit like this,,,,

Envy.    Dude, if you had a frellin’ clue how little this ‘company’ makes,,,   As in, I’m in the RED, not profit at this stage.  I spend more paying off the debt I incurred getting this thing up.

And here ya are threatening me with legal action.  

Get off your meth-riddled ass and figure out how to make a dime on your own and you would understand better the COST and TROUBLE trying to be independent actually is.   Nope,,, wants that silver bullet of a settlement action.      

OR

Seeing the location he sent that pic from, likely does much the same under the table and is trying to scare me off.  

I’m not gonna sweat it at this stage; but it certainly has brought up some anger in me this afternoon. 

This guy is never gonna call me to work on his stuff:  I don’t have any doubt of that.    His voice more had the feel of looking for something to gripe about and willing to go through all of those cards till someone answered, and then blow it out of proportion.  I happened to be ‘that guy’.   yay me.

My question.   How do you deal with a negative like this?   Blow it off?   Try to rectify it (and likely get taken to the cleaners.  Appeasement NEVER works.)?   Or?   

Anywhoos,,, long hot day burning metal.  Ended with lightning storm blowing through 15 minutes before cut-out, so powered down and unplugged the welder to protect it, then waited out the rain.   Was a fast mover out of the north too.  Had one good strike very close to shop, but didn’t see where.   Just knew by the noise and light was within 300 yards.  

and now the humidity is climbing again. 

Stuff to do around the homestead, not gonna sweat the Troublesome call at this point.

    It’s too dam bad that there has to be worthless bastages like this runnin’ loose. Mikee plumb despises ’em, he do! Azzholes!! Too dam sorry to get out and make it their own dam selves – just wanna let someone else carry the load fer ’em, and mooch off of someone else’s hard work. May they burn in Hell’s deepest and hottest depths!

    1. He’s an ignorant hillbilly for one. He can’t. At best he can file complaint, maybe take it to Civil court, but I think even that would get him laughed out of town. I’m not overly worried about it, it just pissed me off that some jack ass wanted to use some trash, that just happened to have my business card in, to cause trouble.

      1. so he’d sue you for littering? I don’t get the grounds he standing on and I see he’s a fool but it makes no sense. I kinda get the attitude though since I’m in WV around such same folks (not hardly many thankfully). I was riding with my buddy hauling scrap to a yard and I remarked how close the guy behind us was tailgating. I said he’s likely to catch a piece of metal if we hit a bump. My buddy says that’s what the guy was hoping would happen so he could sue. I don’t get that mentality.
