August 6th

81 years ago ‘big bang, took and shook the world. She downed the rising sun”

To what we have today,,,

Broken phone, can’t call it, can’t read the screen, can’t do diddlies with it, BUT, it is still connected to Twucks infotainment center,,,    Couldn’t get the new phone to work with the unit until I pulled the battery out of the old phone.  And that was not as simple as taking the back cover off, like I could with my old Nokia-phone. That level of function scares me.   Another reason I, like Fred, am an evolving Luddite.

But 81 years ago, the race to Global suicide was kicked off, and somehow, even after the collapse of the Cold War, we are still tip-toeing the edge of that game.   The call to “they can’t have the bomb” isn’t as shrill, but it has never stopped.

But the level of Tech continues to rise, the demands for energy, CHEAP energy grows exponentially, and there is one good way to achieve that: Nuclear.

Cries of ‘but the waste products’,,,    Store ’em.    Maybe in 200 years, we will find ways of using them.  People are already looking into it.   We used to toss gasoline into rivers because it was a waste product, now, it runs the world.   I recall reading a tech peice about nuclear waste being repackaged into small cell batteries at one point, though I don’t recall the source, and its been a few years.

“I don’t know how the Third World War will be fought, But the Fourth will be with sticks and stones”  Einstein

And all of that assuming that AI doesn’t break out of its sandboxes and go full rogue.  (I doubt that last is possible, but the break outs ARE happening)

And we have raised a country of “don’t wanna fight for this country anymore”   And I can’t say as I blame them.  the promises are broken, several times over.   The promises made to my Da are the last kept, and I know that I will never see them.  The youngers are paying that bill with no hope of seeing same: IF they can even find the job that isn’t taken away to be given to a machine or some ‘visitor’.

The cracks are showing in the facade.  The back wall of the theater is bare for all to see.

And yet, I’m not black-pilled.   I see solutions.

Not all want to.    It does means there must be some regression in the standards, but those regressions will help raise the ETHICS we replaced with comfort and empty promises.

And we need to understand that Global Trade is not the enemy, but GLOBAL SOCIETY, IS.  Trade can be handled peacefully.   But replacing peoples for cheap labor is the same as cutting your own guts out; it tends to be terminal.

Change is never permanent, but CHANGE is.

More laters, must do the J.O.B. thing.    Enjoy the real sunshine today, pray the canned version doesn”t make a comeback.

LLLLL!!!

  1. The solution requires the elimination of lawbreakers in a public and brutal fashion. Starting with members of the ruling class.

The solution requires the return to honest money and a repudiation of the fiat system. And yes, default on the national debt. Argentina did it twice. The world will survive.

The solution requires honest leaders. This necessitates term limits, low/no pay, a ban on lobbying, dual citizenship and stock trading with capital punishment required for violations.

The solution requires that the welfare system and entitlement programs be COMPLETELY abolished.

It’s a tall order and current American society does not have the stomach for it. Therefore, I predict that our current nation and form of government will be significantly changed and possibly abolished or collapse in the near future. Sir John Glubb had some insights that people should pay attention to.
