Let that shit go

And that is exactly what I keep saying to myself right now.

BAD day,,, And just happens to be Da’s 86th Bday as well.

No details needed but I did put my foot in it when Son of Bossman was texting me about an error while I was attending said birthday party.

IMO, both of us were in the wrong: he should have held off until we were face to face over something so trivial, and I shouldn’t have let the continued texts get under my skin. (repsond, not ‘react’: and I defnitely shot from the hip this time.)

But I think its time for Dio to redefine certain parameters. Not cause issues, but not be ‘goes above and beyond’ as much. And Further the efforts already started to progress the side gig.

I need to let it go, it was a downturn in festivities, at least for me. I did try to not let it show, but I dont’ poker face well.

But I’m home now, and tomorrow is the paid day, and I have a couple of small side gigs lined up for weekend work. Maybe this little tiff is the incentive I have needed; a small silver lining in the top of the storm cloud hanging over my spirit right now.

Let it go, do whats needed, eliminate the obligations, move on. That about sums up my strategy currently. Have been such since I bought bthe BLoo, but now, I feel them.

  1. sounds like boss is a nervous wife, who’s not sure why they’re scared but nagging so you don’t leave. do your thing man.

  2. Everyone is feeling the pinch these daze. I try to look at another’s point of view and motivation. Stress and fear of losing everything can be a huge disruptor . For the silver spoon crowd, it is terrifying. Those which come unprepared to deal with the shit storms of life. Can prepare to smell the the stink.

  3. 1st – HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO DAD!!! Hopefully, he’s still doing good.

There’s a good bit of that disruption going on around here. My neighborhood is about 80% older retired types. about 1/2 of ’em are ‘professional’ retired types. The rest of us are just plain busted up types. Those of us that’re busted up have a much higher tendency to try and “be prepared” than the rest – as opposed to the gib me dat crowd. Meself, I try to keep one eye open as much as possible, for, hopefully, a somewhat early warning. Mighty hard to tell which a-way this thing’s a-gonna fall. The only sure thing is it’s definitely a-gonna fall! Sorry – Brain freeze now (difficult night, sleepwise – please forgive the rambling) – nuff said fer now. Nother cuppa incoming!

    L’s!

    Y’all take care,
    Mike in FLA.

    1. Well, you could stop being the phones bitch, and turn the dam thing off. Especially during your dad’s party.

In case you didn’t catch it, I don’t multi task well (no one does, but some people lie about it), business is business and everything else ain’t. When I’m in socializing mode I’m not in business mode, and verse vice a.

It’s an unfortunate rule of life, “Lessons learned hard are lessons learned best.”
