Could have been like B, and went and bought another kayak,,, LOL. He sent me a link to a post for one, then an hour or so later sent me a message “Dammit!!! LOL”. with a pic of said kayak on his truck. Gotta admit, it was one hell of a deal, If I had the cash ready, I would probably have jumped on it too.(despite the fact that I need another boat on my porch like I need another hole in my head.)
Sometimes, the deal is just to sweet and ya know if you don’t jump, there won’t be another.. KInda like how I came by Lizzy.

Just not a lot to talk about these days. I know many people are feeling the pinch, even before the really bad shit comes on line in the next few months. Seeing more and more empty spaces in stores. We are having supply issues at work again, and some of this stuff that we are struggling with is the more common parts that are in every job we do. Pipe is slotted for another jump in prices here soon, and that means that weldiing supplies are going to bump up too. If steel is going up, (second time this year, 4th in the last 20 months.) I dunno. I know Son of Bossman and myself have been giving grief to Bossman for not bumping his prices sooner. Even so, we are just above replacement costs in our margin and thats not going to carry us through if things go up yet again. (interestingly, I have been getting more work from Son of Bossmans sales, than the other way around, and SOBm prices his jobs a little more steeply. ).
Just finished the Puppie Prison Install. I know that sounds bad, but Hey, I don’t like caging dogs (or cats). What it really was is a fourteen stall Doggie Daycare. 14 inside, with dog doors to the 14 outside. I had to make the frames and panels to section off the outside, and frames with doors and bowl racks for the inside. A lot of steel went into this one, including 2 11# spools of wire and 4 or 5 bottles of welding gas. Dunno how many feet of pipe, (I lost track after the first bundle went past me.) but well over 200′ of 9ga wire to cover the frames and doors. We still have to install a play yard fence line, but I won’t have anything to do with that part. (other than make the gates we will install)
Its getting dark out, this ol’chambling corpse is feeling a bit sluggish still from the war of buggies, and I have a dawgum looking at me with that “bladders full dad,,,” look,,,
