Whhoosshh! WTF?!?!whizzz!!

Its July! And its almost wrapped up. Downhill slope of 2020 (and good riddance I say, but I digress,,,)Was sitting back retrospectin’ the last several months this fuzzy foggy morn, and it hit me. 7 months but with enough cray-cray for 24 months.Even my personal world with its shifts and meandering has been more topsy-turvy this year. Yes, some of that has been due to outside influences like Covidiocy, but not all by any means. Lost a wonderful cat to a tick bite. My book published and is starting to move some. A new to me kayak just in the last 24 hours. (With a new twist; its a white water kayak!!!)Made several new friends even with a shuttered social world but amazingly, have not lost any even with most of them being in the higher age group susceptible to the ‘Rona.It’s crazy! I’ve well known that the older I get the shorter the years get, but this one is acting like its on a high-ball of meth and coke with a 900mg chaser of caffeine. Flying so high and fast the imaginary spiders can’t catch up.

November. I believe those spiders will catch up to us then and the freaking out will begin in earnest.We’ll know, or, well, we’ll have a better understanding of where this drug induced high is going to crash. Heads up or ostrich dived remains to be seen, but there is no way it can’t crash. IMPO, its going to resemble a 100 car pile up on the 805 at 4pm on a Friday.But why worry about it; the balls rolling, can’t be stopped, and the only control any one of us has is in our immediate surroundings. Thats the point I want to harp on. We aren’t all in this together. We are separate individuals with weaknesses and strengths all our own. We stand or fall by ourselves. We join up and gather more strength, but at the end of the day, its still just the individual. If you sacrifice all of yourself “for the greater good” both you and the greater good lose. Protect yourself and allow others to protect themselves and the “greater good” gains.Or like the saying on my forearm states: Divided we stand. Together we rise.No one is coming to save you. So STAND!
