Welcome to my brain. It’s messy. It’s interesting. And it’s all connected if you stick around long enough. "Believe Nothing: no matter who said it, even if I have said it, except it agree with your own reason and common sense. Siddhartha Guatamo, the Buddha.

Whole lotta nuthin!

Thursday July 2, 2 days before people start celebrating a birthday of a country .

I’m not certain how I feel about that these days. Seems the celebration is more wishful thinking or, in most cases, just another half-assed reason to char some meat, get stinking drunk and make a ton of noise.

Almost no kid today can explain the history of the date, why it’s (was) important. There are full grown adults that can’t either.

I’ll be out n about on the fourth, may catch some fireworks from a distance, but I think with all the stuff going on in the world and my own life right now; I think time alone and a chance to pull my soul out and really look at things is in order.

Since the Griz passed on, things feel like they keep going sideways. A little reflection on that last night makes me believe I am at fault and I need to refocus. And I have felt very scattered since losing the furball. Strange how something so small can have such a profound effect on a person, but there it is.

And it’s not just me. Mama-kat and Voo are both acting needy and depressed: its obvious Mama misses him, but Voo’s been looking for him every night, into every nook and cubby that Griz would curl up in, for the past week.

It’s not like you can explain it to them either,,,

So, for Americana sake, y’all have a safe and enjoyable Fourth, try to remember WHY we celebrate, and maybe the bug of freedom will get contagious again.

No plans of going anywhere special here. Fireworks ? Hah , we’re only twenty miles from the launch pad of giant sized bottle rockets they send up quite regular now days. Once in awhile they do the starburst thing too !

Naw , probably just watch from afar like you…
