First and foremost, I give thanks that there are still people in this world that enjoy coming to my ‘shop’ and reading my drivel.   I’m just a little fish in mighty big sea of quantum souls, and that, after 12 years (yes, this site is that old) I am still getting commentary and input, beyond that of ‘wots in me hed’.   I can’t thank you all enough in that regard.

I give thanks that, even as I am getting older, I am still in decent health, able to do for myself without assistance.   I give thanks that my Da, much older than I (only, not really: only 28 years.  Doesn’t seem like all that much these days.) is much the same.  Yeah, he needs a little help picking stuff up, doesn’t last as long when swingin’ an axe to split wood, but he IS still doing those things of his own will.   I have HUGE shoes to fill in my future, and I give thanks that the bar is that high.

I give thanks to my sisters.   You taught me how to be a man that respects women: I see many examples of the other sort every day.   That alone makes me special in ways I can’t articulate in short form, like in this blog.

I give thanks to my Grands, for without thier genetic makeup, I might be something completely different in this world: I rather like this version of me and can not imagine any other.  (just a little solipsism slip there,,,,)

I give thanks to Brudda B, you know why,   words sully the content.

I give thanks to the rest of my Kayak-y friends,,,  You hold me to my bullshit, but you drive me in other ways and thats a good thing.   Broader horizons than I would find on my own.

I give thanks that the world’s collective conciousness WOKE UP and realized that insanity was rampant.   It was a simple election cycle, but signs of healing abound already.   I can only hope the momentum continues, or even increases.   Keep up the good work on a personal/local level and maybe we will see an end to the insanity without the world burning down around our ears.

I’m off to visit the Fam, eat too danged much, and bring back some ‘dead dinosaur’ for the kittehs and Voo.   They deserve a little treat just as much as we do.   (they don’t feel the need to celebrate thanksgiving; the little rats are self absorbed psychopaths, confident they are the pinnacle of genetic excellence.  Loves ’em anyways,,,)

Tired, a little beat up (by Elbee!!!)   Spunkmonkey was full of piss’n’vinegar when I came in and I have some new holes in my carcass, Some blood loss too.     Little shit has NEEDLES on three of his armed points,, Can’t wait for those milkteeth to give way.   Adult teeth are sharp, but not like those needle points he currently sports.

Anywhoos,,, good day for FRN’s, but still gonna be a shitty week for such.  Started it down by 8 due to ‘Rain-out Freeday’,,, plus we have a shortened week for holiday festivus,,,   At least there will be plenty of food and my grocery list will be leaner,,,

and I can give Thanks that (so far) we haven’t been pummeled back into the stone ages, or MadMax territory,,,    Lord knows that’s on the menu with current events.

For those that wanna call me “Pro-Russian”, Kiss my lily-white ass.   This isn’t about russiarussiarussia, this IS about living to see the next year.    Here is a point from someone who IS pro-Russian,,,,

None of this needs to happen. The Russians fundamentally just want to be left the hell alone to live as they see fit. The West can and should learn to live alongside them, do  business with them, learn from them, and preserve their own civilisation.

Please tell me, where in that statement, is there something that can be refuted by current or near historical points over the last 10 years.   WHEN has Russia shown ‘desire’ to return too pre-1992 territory?    WHY would they want to, when the very principle would require MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF FORCE AND COERCION to accomplish.   Putin may be former KGB, but If you think he didn’t learn a lesson or two about the efforts needed to maintain that structure, you’d expose your ass as the fool you are.   

What pisses me off is when I hear normally SANE people, reasoned people; people I respect and admire, turn around and start falling back on that cold-war mentality and screaming about “Russia needs contained”.   And yet, the evidence shows that its US, THE F-USA, falling back on old addictions and destroying or outright ignoring agreements, have been the instigators in that theater.   We destroyed all but the most recent ‘Indian Treaties’ in our history,, we have pissed most all the others away as well.    One was pointed out in that linked article and it was pulled apart by Trumped in his first term,,,,  

Our credibility as a nation is warmed over piss water with floaters of shit.   The last four years have only increased the ratio of floating shit,,,,

I pray that the next 60 days can be chilled, using the holiday season, one of which is a shared holiday between both of hte big-dogs in the debate; using that/those holidays to keep the lid on what could be a seriously bad version of Pandoras box,,,,

Where I sit right now,,, Getting ready to head to Da’s, laundry for me, hauling him to go look at a new pick’em-up,,, New to him anyways.    I condemned his current ride a few weeks back and he has been looking around, as have I, and I finally found something that sorta fits his bill and is close enough that he is willing to look at it.   I found PLENTY of others, but he truly does not want to drive for more than 20 minutes to look at anything.   That limits things a great deal.      sigh,,,,   Maybe this’un is it.   

don’t like this DST crap,,,,   Clock says going on 7,  body and cats say its 8.   Its been over a month since the shift and yet I am still in the other mode.

No boating this weekend.   Could’ve, didn’t.   Cold as cold could be and I had no motivation to don a drysuit.   Replaced the lines in the ERG and that has been my workout routine this weekend.   Not optimal, but works.     (I had thought to go today, and may yet depending on how this truck-run turns out.  It is supposed to be a bit warmer today.)   I could really use the peace I get when on water, which is what I DON’T get using the erg,,,

59 days and counting.   still lots of bad shit that could fall out between now and then.   Still lots of things that could go wrong even after,  

but thats another story.    We need to wrap this chapter up with a quickness, and preferably without tons of drama and heartache.    Not in our control though, is it?

Been feeling the teacher in me rise to the surface again.   Recent purchase of more educational books in hand.   Don’t know when I’ll get to put them into play, but I have them.   Interesting note; while doing my shopping for those particular books, I ran across some others.

and even more, too many to list them all (and far outside of my budget to buy 😦   ) but those two show that, YES, truth will rise to the surface eventually.   Truth doesn’t need support, it stands alone.  It takes mountains of lies to bury it, and it may take decades to rise above that, but rise it will. 

I recall back in 2007, when I was at an “End the Fed” protest, and the ‘leader’ of our group wanted to have a group picture taken at the foot of a statue of Lincoln.   There was a black women with us, and her reaction to the suggestion knocked me sideways.   She stated “Ain’t no way I want my face in the same frame as that traitor”,,,,     I rallied around her later and started asking ‘WTF?” and boy, did that woman give this Buckra a lessonin’.    Woke me up she did!!!   I think that was when I started really looking at how things work, what the TRUE history of things was, and started to really question the narratives, present and past, and trying to figure out ‘where we went wrong’.  

and not long after that was when I got Royces book “Hologram of Liberty” and the brainium started spewing smoke as the gears were trying to set different gear patterns than they were ‘designed’ for (read that as “programmed for by public school”) 

And my quest for the truth continues on.   Not just in our modern times, but much further back, from the turn of time at the birth of Yeshuah, and even further back to Siddhartha, and even FURTHER back to the times of the Pheonicians/Syrians/Babylonians,

Pretty much anything prior to that is ‘unrecorded’ except in fragments of bone and stone and loads of guesswork and supposition.   As described by a character in this book, there are two types of history; Capitol H History (recorded even if fragmented) and small  history (passed on in spoken word and compressed for memory.)   Big difference between the two as one has legacy, the other forms Myths.   Myths being based partly in snipppets of truth, but elaborated to grab attention (make memorable)  (admit it, much of legacy history is boring as fuck! to the average Joe.)

Admittedly, there is an age factor in the ‘love of history’ in people.    The older we get, the more interested we get because we see the Cause/Coorelation of history and current events.   There are few history teachers (in my experiance) that can make history COOL and EXCITING to capture the attention of the swirling pools of light and energy we call KIDS.   I was lucky enough to have had one (after a bout of the most horrendous version a year prior)   I fell in love with history in the 9th grade and went hells bells with it all through Higher school.  (and had been leaning that way if I really think about it: my reading choices up to that point had mostly been historical fictions.   Might have been that I was also playing mad amounts of D&D (DM mode) and wanted to flesh out my games a bit more; but the interest WAS there.)  

It’s sort of like mystery novels for some.   We keep getting more and more clues as to what was, and the storyline changes; in small ways for the most part, but there are times where the shift is HUGE,,,   I won’t go into my current digs in time, still too raw for even me to get my head arouund yet, and some of the sources are questionable currently,  (and this is much much further back than the War of Northern Aggression.)

I think what I am digging at here in this post,,, Most of what we believe “Just Ain’t so” and most people would reject it out of hand for the simple fact that thier world wouldn’t stand well without the supports of the NARRATIVE.

We are seeing parallels of that with the Election of Trump and his cast of Avengers,,, or at least the predictions of such,,,*    There is an entire section of this country that feels the shifting of the earth beneath their feet and they are SCARED of what the future holds.    They cling desperately to beliefs that ‘just aren’t so’  (communism, socialism, utopian dreams of equity,,,) and have no basis in navigating the new world they are being told of. 

Yup, hangin’ on the end of the rope is how many of them likely feel these days.    Desperate people do desperate things: I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the Suicide rate for 2025 is quadruple that of 2024 (which by some accounts is already well above average)

Shitty part of that being, I have no reasoned discourse to follow (no curriculum established) so I meander BIG TIME here in my posts,,,,, Follow along, it makes sense, but don’t even think about jumpin out of line: you’ll get lost in the weeds.  I am totally the pantser when it comes to writing.    (and I have set up a curriculum before and have been able to keep to it, but when it comes to my writing,,, let the words spill, see where the thoughts go: Sometimes, the end of the path is surprising, even to me.   And surprises are learning in action.)
