Left about this time last week to go south for fun with friends and fam.   Had a great time (yes guys, that pan-faced look I usually sport was an INTJ smile,,,,)   When I left, buggies were sorta, kinda, maybe if you look the other way for a minute, showing thier faces.

Hooo-boy, NOT THIS WEEK.    I was out loading Lyssa for the weekend and my legs and back are pincushioned with Skeeter bites and those damned NO-see-ums that CHEW ON YOU. 

And I have been pounding on the garlic-y foods!!!!   Enough that I smell like an Italian Restaurant by the end of the day when out in the heat (IE, everyday,,,)  These bugs seem to like spicy hooman,,, Maybe I need to up the peppers as well.  Make it so they burst into flames when they get a taste of me.  Won’t stop ’em, but would make for an “enlightened” evening,,,LOL

Anywhoosss, Lyssa is loaded, riding up-right since I also loaded campgear in her.  Dunno that I am gonna get any camping done, but the way the weather has been this week, I wouldn’t mind having the means to shelter in place for a spell if things turn around on me.   The storms blowing through lately, come up fast and are wicked mean.  Hadn’t seen rain like this since I was on my way to Kuwait and we got hit with Monsoons.   Sometimes rains so hard, you might think the rain was coming off the ground as well as the sky.    Soaking and dripping wet in 10 seconds flat, sort of rains.

Sorta needed that on Satyrday,,, really fubared the first half of the run (IMO,,, everyone else thought I was doing great,,,  They couldn’t see the knockin’ kneecaps under the decks of the boat.) (hindsight, did it to meself, and the resulting Adrenaline rush was impressive.)   

but I got over it and the last half of the run, MAYTAG went smooth as butter (as smooth as a converging set of wave trains can be,,,,) and was quite anti-climatic,,,   The Ledges were more exciting (with my looking down the maw of a pour over on my right side and goin’, “aw-shit,,,,”  but I swept right through it, just fine,) (aktually,,,, Rio did just fine, felt that current pull and nosed right into that hole with NO INPUT from me and pulled me through it without me needing to brace once.)

and I am sore as shit!!!!!    Not used to using the euro-blades, nor high digging with such,,, my usual greenlands are used low down with way more torso twist; not near as much upper body as I used the last two days.  wooof,,,, The new guy had better be good, cuz’I’m gonna be on the lite-duty list (self enforced)
