rainy weather, may be short day today, or another day of soaking wet feet,,,   Big window of dry supposed to arrive between 11am and 9pm, but that doesn’t dry the ground we will be working in; wet feet it is.  I have some tricks for it from my Marine days, but they will still be miserable extensions,,,,

Let me start by saying that today was a rough one,,, Wet feet, ALL DAY,, makes for a long day, and one that seemingly dragged and dragged,,,

But we got a ton accomplished and didn’t have Burnout or Useless with us: just the “Old Guys” and things went mostly smooth,,,

and I even had some thinks running in me brainium since I wasn’t keeping tabs on warm bodies that need constant attention.

SO, to start the meat of this post, I am going to hit some links,,, my running commentary is what I would have put in comments at the sites yet feel, here, is a better way to give my thoughts and a quick synopsis of the linkie.

And then, this one from Simplicus:   I don’t have a problem with the content of the stack.  But I caught myself falling back on fallacies,,, Fallacies that are quite literally left over from post Cold-war thinks.    Several other bloggers I admire will spout similar things, and I started thinking,,,,   WHO’S RIGHT?   And the reason I ask comes back down to how much we have found that “EVERYTHING THEY SAY IS BULLSHIT”   Even things I took as God’s Gospel are coming apart, like the fact that Russia is looking more and more like Reagans America and we are looking more and more like some shambolic simularcum of Soviet Russia,,,   I have three friends in Russia currently: friends that are expatriated there, and of the two I still occasaionally get to chat with, THEY LOVE IT!!!   The third has to use other means to talk to me and we don’t get to communicate very often,,,

And through my ‘vicarious travels’, I have met others that went the China Route to escape a growing tyranny here on these shores,,,   I don’t know the man personally, but was fascinated by his works, even if I have doubts of the material he covered.  I refer to Metalicman here.  

NOW, without digging TOO deeply, let me ask you this:  When the ‘Rona broke out in China, and there were those vids of the military ‘welding the doors shut’ to keep people in quarantine in China, did you question them?    Did you ask “how could a people put up with that level of tyranny?” or did you ask “Is this a staged event for Psyops?”  

Fact is WE DO NOT KNOW,   Those events may have been real, or they could have been ‘staged and filmed’ then leaked as a psyops against the American People in particular (reasons: what America does, the western world (Europe) copycats) And WHY then?   Why not, since we were in a trade war with China at that time (Trumped, Not Xi-den) and China DOES NOT FInance military efforts when MindFUks work better,,,,  

I am getting to the point where I question my own thoughts almost as much as I question what I was taught.  I don’t question the narrative at all anymore, I ignore it as much as possible since its been proven to be a mindfuk to manipulate us into servitude to some unknowns behind curtains of protection,,, (bankers, and you can follow the line to a tribe from there,,,)

Here is what we do know; Simplicus even covers some of this in his stack: The Chinese AND Russians have been making more inroads to be peaceful COMPETITORS on the world stage, not bully-boys on the block, expanding their ‘control zones’ so to speak (lookin’ at NATO expansion while typing this.)   Yes, China has interest in Taiwan, and those that think this is  “empirialism” need to do some study up on history and how the two are tied together.)  We KNOW that China has been investing MAD MONEY on infrastructure builds, totally ignoring the whole Climate Change Bullshitte, Russia has done similar and while I don’t know for certain, I would say their nuclear power program is decades further along than ours is.  The pair have been at ‘building’ work arounds to the PETRODOLLAR for a couple of decades now, and I don’t think that was intended as a threat, but as Insurance,,,  Our ‘Leaders’ have shown every single country out there that they don’t give a rats ass about those they ally with.

We are being played,,, I know that, I keep saying it, and I have to keep reminding myself that.   NOTHING IS AS IT SEEMS, there are currents under the currents that are under the currents we are allowed to see: things in this world will keep moving, whether or not there is a United States.  And that goes against some peoples beliefs; that if we fail, the rest of the world dies,,,  I don’t think so: I do think things will get really rough for a spell,,,,

But what worries me is how INSANE our ‘leadershits’ are acting.  They don’t say it outright, but that they dislike the people they supposedly represent is obvious, they are open about that animosity and while not ACTIVELY so, I don’t think that will remain that way for much longer.   And if they can’t get us fired up enough to start shooting at them, they intend on getting the world to start shooting for them.  They do not want to be the ones that hit the big red button first,,, they want that moral highground (because they have no morals to stand on otherwise.)  Seriously, if you want to know which way this is going to go, all you have to do is ask “who gets fed up first?” and I am not talking about the “Leadershit” of America.  I am talking about the rest of the world and the people of this once Great Nation.   Someone is going to say “Enough Bullshit” and attempt a curbstomping.  How it goes from there,,,,

I do not believe there will be a ‘Great Endarkenment’ anymore.   The tech we have and use is too widespread (read that as ‘the chinese make it all now’, and good reason they want control of Taiwan again,,, where 90%(?) of the computer chips of the world are made now.)   Oh, the US may go into a dark period; in fact, I suspect that we are on the cusp of that right now.  Will it be Total Civil War type dark (think Bosnia) or will it be the divisives trying to create micro-states within the borders (think Zimbabwe on crack while tripping balls on LSD).  I can only speculate on that because there are so many variables in play in this case, and many many unknowns, such as the Flood of Illegals that are still climbing in number,,,,  We can come up with theory on theory here, and not be close,,,

and there is no comfort in either thought. 

I only know that the closer we get to November, the krazier its going to get, and that no matter what the bookies are calling, its going to be wilder than even they can imagine.  This game is in full run, and you can’t shut it down until its played out.   

Three roads they can push: Civil war on CONUS.   Economic Collapse.    World War Three against all aligned with BRICS. (and if you look, that is very much  in the works,,,)  And there may be some combination of two, with the third being a “symptom” that develops later,,,

Came home, did my get out of grubbies, figured on something to fill the gut, and decided on totally cheating and using a can of Wolf Brand Chili as my starter.  Add some spicy southern Pork saugage, a couple dashes of extra chili powder, or Devils spit, which is what I used,,,,   make it not so ‘generic’,,,  

And had a visitor while I was starting the process,,,,  Grizzy.    Heard that can getting opened and meowed “hey, Da! whats the grub?’    Me, thinking ‘no way in heck is he gonna want this,,,’  took a spoon and tossed a little into his saucer.

The little bugger did the sniff,,, double sniff,,, and WENT TO TOWN ON IT!!!!   Then looked at me like “More please” and that second spoonful didn’t even get the sniff test,,, just dove right in.

Spent part of my day reorganizing me paddle gear and camp gear.  Sorting out what dry bags hold what gear and in what state such is in.   Some of the food stuff needed ‘et, and replaced with fresh.  Long term storage stuff but still has a shelf life,,,     anywhoos, ready for a long SOLO weekend away if/when,,,  those have to be impulse runs or they rarely happen,,, but if the gear isn’t ready, they never happen: Gotta be able to “grab-n-go” when that impulse hits: That’s doable now.     I also took BJ off the racks and put her back in Drydock,,,   I don’t like her sitting in the racks week long, getting divots in her decks from the racks,,, she pops back out, but looks funky for a spell until she does.  Its a decorum thing, not critical to function, but it eats at me seeing those divots forming.    (my WW boats will ‘oil can’ in that case and good luck getting them out,,, yes you can, kinda-sorta,,,)

Krazy side of all that,  I have 4 options of camping: hammock/tarp, 3 person tent(2 peep in reality) single peep tent, and bivvy bag stealth mode. 3 sleep bag setups, from summer weight to freeze polarbear balls cold,    What gets grabbed is set up by conditions now; not just wilhenilhe stuff sacks.  Just have to keep organized (labeled bags now)

My only hope: that such doesn’t become “Need”,,,   ain’t a country in the world gonna take American Refugees like they take in the dregs from elsewhere,,,   We is IT!!! No one is coming to save us if things go upside-down and sideways,,,,

A couple of texts overnight, an email, and some points in the Subconcious made connection.

I grump and grump that I am ‘below average’ in pay for the sort of things I do at the J.O.B. but around here, what I am making is close to the top out for skilled laborers.   I have even bumped into a Doc that was grumping about how he could double his income by moving 100 miles away (and he did, but thats another story)   I could do similar

but theres a caveat,,,

To make that move requires moving somewhere, where the cost of living is also higher.   MUCH HIGHER.

Just simple observations here, empirical data points:  places with higher averageds minimum wage levels have higher living costs.    When FoodStamps/SNAP gets an increase, Grocery prices get increases.  When the area Unions (coal miners here) get a pay raise, fuel costs go up.  

When the cost of labor goes up, the cost of everything goes up, and when money is ‘passed out freely’ , costs are going to go up as well.   Thats not GREED,,,   It can be seen that way, I am certain, but I see it as ‘we know the dollar is getting more and more worthless, so,,,,’   

When I was doing the PatCom thing, I would talk about moving  money into silver and gold,   And I was ‘practicing what I preach’ at that time.  But as I was talking to people about it, I used the Silver dollar in my examples of whats really going on in the world.     Here was my speil.

“In 1912, a man could walk into a hardware store, or general store and buy a brand new, in the box Colt 1911 with two magazines and a box of 50 rounds, for one $20 gold peice or 20 $1 silver cartwheels.    Now, at current ‘rates of exchange’ those same coins can STILL buy you a brand new, in the box, 1911.   Nothing has changed in the value of the product, NOTHING.  the only thing that has changed is the percieved value of the exchange medium.   They call it inflation, but in reality, its debasement,,,   Debasement is a known factor in EVERY empire fail in history.   Take away the confidence of the working man to get his fair value and the foundations of the empire start to fall apart.”

Now what I didn’t mention in that speil was that $20 might more than 10 months worth of wages for most people.   That was a time where grocery bills were written in pennies.   It was in one of the Foxfire books where I saw the ledger of a blacksmith, and saw “shoeing horse, repair tack- $.25”   (I hate that we no longer have the cent symbol on keyboards,,,, says a lot about our world these days, no?)

Fact: Nothing changed in value at the ground level, only the PERCEIVED medium of exchange, and it is becoming more and more distorted as time moves forward.   When I can purchase a decent Horse bow from China for way less than the materials to build my own; something on the order of 1/3 the cost for raw materials,,,    Thats not the best example but it does show that something is VERY WRONG in our economic system.    Balances are whacked and we are on  the recieving end of that sharp stick and most people can’t see it.   The People in high places in low swamps certainly do, and are milking that system for all tis worth, which is why we see these Ginormous spending bills with obscure wordings to hide the actual beneficiaries.

I find it hard to justify a move at this point, even though I wish to move with a vengeance.   What I make (when I get the work that is,,,) is ‘Just enough’ but with little to no headway being made.   I know I am not alone in that,,,  I keep afloat, and thats about it.   Take away the hours and I start to sink, fast.   The bills don’t just automagically take a break like the work load does,,,  But knowing that cost of living increases accompany a move,,, knowing I would need the work in advance to justify the move, not having an independent means of income (YET,,working on it,,,)

Am I “How” I need to be for whats coming?   no,,, simple no.    I have a good set up, independent power and water but not in a location well defended as I found out by SikCuz moving here.   I won’t say that he will be a problem, as anything I write here could be construed against me in courts of law,,,,   I seek solutions, not problems, and I will leave it at that,,,   There are other problems to boot.   Not that I am any good at gardening, but even Unk tells me this particular ground has to be supplemented HARDCORE to grow much.   Corn never gets taller than 5′, potat’s grow in one spot only, and won’t take anywhere else, Radish/turmip/greens,,,, You have to put up a 6′ fence or the runnybabbits and deer make feast,,,, same with spinach: they do love that spinach.    Raising livestock?  purt much limited to yardbirds and goats,,, Sheep/cows don’t do well in these hills; they need much more pasture where we have woods.   (run goats for 10 years and harvest all the dead wood, then start working the sheep to make the area pasture,,,,,    Long term, it would work,    Do you think all that arable pasture in Jolly old England was just THERE?   LOL    nope, those greenhills of Britain are from centuries of sheep herds mowing the weeds down.) 

And none of it matters as much as I make it out to be.

My point being this: We are where we are RIGHT NOW, and HERE is where we stand when shit falls down.     MAKE IT WHAT YOU CAN

I don’t want some big sprawling compound that needs three platoons of troops in rolling 8 hour shifts to keep protected, not including the people needed to keep things growing and functional to maintain the troops to defend it,,,,   That is the way of the warlord, and I am no warlord,,,  I am just a little guy with a lot of skills that somehow become inportant when shit ain’t workin’ right,,, and THAT is my strength.     That is why most of my preps are in knowledge,   practiced application,  and tools: not compounds and armories.

Here’s my pitch,,,, IF (big IF) any of y’uns were to hit that power ball,,,, I am offering my services as a groundpounder to find you a GOOD REDOUBT, one that can be farmed, is defensible, and has other attributes/resources to utilize, and help you get your off-grid situation set up in such a way that you won’t have to worry about the Stoopid.   You front the money for the purchases, I won’t jack prices to ‘take a cut’; just need a charge account to make the buys in your name, and I only want a salary for the duration: say one year, $50,000.00 (in cash please,,,,half up front, half on completion, and open to negotiation: upwards! I am a capitlalist after all.)

Thats cheap in todays market,,,,

I can start to ‘feel’ some Optimism.    I definitely am feeling the shifting grounds of societal techtonic plates grinding against another.    And when I mentioned that ‘Frustrations are indicitive of Armegeadon Prophecy’, much of that frustration is failure to see the potentials  or another way “the unseen solutions for the problem at hand.”    My problem is; I see solutions, several actually, just getting others to see the benefits and acting on them,,,,,    I haven’t the outreach of those writers above, and the few times that I have attempted to reach out, was snubbed resoundly.   Fuck it, I keep writing and voicing and when it all falls apart I have my written words to look back on and say “told ya so”.  

I’m not that narcissistic,,,  But I will have those words to look back and wonder: wonder why those that could reach the masses, didn’t see or chose to ignore what, to me, is obvious.

Stop Complying.    USE YOUR THINKER!!! Don’t jump at the slightest provocation: take a minute and ask some critical thinking questions.   Why Now? Who benefits? Who’s paying the bill? What is this a distraction FROM? etc etc.  

QUESTION, QUESTION, QUESTION, QUESTiON!!!!   And don’t stop asking until you, YOU! are satisfied with the answer, no matter if the questioned gets angry or waffles or threatens violence or,,,,,

Not saying its gonna happen,,, but thats the sort of shit where  you have to watch your knee-jerk reactions,,,    (and I think that is why so many conservative types enjoy DoomPron,,, It lets us explore the ‘what ifs’ while we are still comfortable.)

It’s a finger numbing 34 degrees outside right now, but the weather liars are calling for highs in the 60’s today, and the week forcast for that trend to go higher. 

Still colder than a witches teat out right now, and the nights are still ‘fire in stove’ sorts.

Have Lyssa and BlueJean riding high on Buffalo, but Buffalo is playing games again.     and in the most recent area that has been a major pain in my backside: her rear end,,,   One of those new bearing has slipped out of place again and is dribbling.   Smelled it when I went to the groceries last night; did the ‘dip to knee, check under truck’ and sure enough, a little dribble on the inner wheel.   

So I am going to take care of that today.  I’ve been tossing around the “pull it all apart and do it right’ or ‘bandaid it’.    I started working on her original differential, to rebuild it, and part of me is thinking ‘bandaid whats in use’ and focus the cash flow on the rebuild.  Diff parts ain’t cheap,     Thinking the bandaid this time will include grinding a groove in the outer face of the race, and then staking it with a punch.   Keep it from walking around under road vibrations.   Thats the whole problem; the press fit is lacking on that one side.(the one that was wallowed out so badly,,,)

I hate doing anything twice, and this one is round three,,, but I also don’t want to invest too much into it as it is NOT the right diff for Buff.  Wrong ratio, mucks up the 4×4 when needed, throws off the Odo and Speedo, and cuts into power to the ground.  

Yeah,,, bandaid the beast, for now, try to do it in a way that is ‘more permanent’ , and not spend a lot of my precious time on it.  (I can bandaid it without pulling the axle,  to FIX it requires pulling those and that means SURGERY.  Opening up that pumpkin and pulling things apart.)

Anywhoos,,, Its still cold out there, though shoulld be warm by noon, and I can take the day to do stuff around the ‘stead in the meanwhile.   Tomorrow can be laundry and kayaky day.   No rush, ease through the weekend as it should be: Relaxed and healing like.
