Not that I feel ill, just wore the F! out. Long days, early start to this’un, and nearly dusk by the time I make it to the ‘stead.
My kids are not happy with this whole arrangement. Cozz comes looking for me at Da’s when ‘dad time’ rolls around. I get home and the kittehs are all on the stoop looking down the driveway. And probably had been for an hour.
I’ve not only mucked up my routine, but thiers. Mama especially. She’s the demanding one, and when things aren’t ‘her way’, things get swatted around in anger. Usually me when I get back. I can tell by the way Elbs and Zooms are tip-toeing around her, that they have been on the wrong end of her murder mittens.
C’est la Vie! Daddy does what daddy must, and she’ll get over it. (and with the costs of shit going up, and her pickiness in eats,, I have to make the duckies. Seriously been cutting back on her meats and forcing her back on the kibble. Another sticking point in her ‘Not right’ outlook on ‘her world’. Damned kat eats better than me most weeks; she needs to make allowances along with the rest of us.
Cozzie sure has. Little brat hasn’t touched his kibble in a week. He is supplementing his diet with Venison. Its deer season and people are chucking out the ‘leftovers’ from butchering their kills, and Cozz is in Pure-D dawg heaven over it. Rule 1: It doesn’t come in the house!!! What he eats is his business, but I don’t want a deer head or set of lungs stinking up the hovel.
And yesterday, he was relegated to the porch for the night. His Pittie butt smelled quite high and I could not get a hose on him. Fine: Dog-door gets shuttered and you sleep outside. No trying to ‘kiss and make up’ either: I know what you’ve been gnawing on!
I think the message got through, He’s managed to clean up somehow and while yeah, he still smells like a dawg, it aint’ the high-ness of death and manure. I can keep that dawgum ‘scent’ under control; the other, not so much without major efforts.

Very little forward movement on the solar array/actuator thing. I did make a new bracket for the lower end of the actuator and installed it. Much better than that mere bolt through I had jerry-rigged. Still a bolt for the bracekt, but the actuator end is now clevis pinned in place, and the bracket can swivel a bit as needed.
Sorry, no pics. Tired tonight and was on other things as well. Like eating,,,
But its shower time, then bed. And back at it again before daybreak. I’m trying to maximize the hours this week since I have two bills hitting back to back AND I have a DL that needs renewed. (SURPRISE!!! Yup, to me at least. Not sure I like the new 4 year setup: too easy to lapse and forget. Didn’t expire, that happens Freeday, so I’m good to go there. )
More tomorrow, maybe even remember to take pics of things. When I get a moment and the power hooked up, I will take a vid of the tracking movements ( not timelapsed, but switched. I’m quite happy with how smooth it moves (though this actuator is a bit noizy.)
