Its late dusk out there now. Light failing fast and the moon wont be up for hours as it is in it’s waning phase of the month.
New Camera location over at Unks old digs: Bad Cuz and GF have been taking liberties and I mean to catch them now. Actually, already caught, but without video, means nothing to LEO’s. The camera has a video function and is now in place again. (admittedly, I got lazy about putting it back up. Bad Dio!)
Mower parts arrived, are installed, and the war on weeds became mechanized warfare again. Did have one problem with the PTO ripping its harness loose: rectified now, but I need to fix the connector. An easy fix, even if in confined space. Another of those ‘Attention to detail’ issues. Thought I had the retaining bracket in tight, wasn’t and when I engaged the PTO that last time, it spun. Damned slip fit bracket and silly hooman wanting to get some of the mowing out of the way.
Word from Lawyer (that I had to call to get the info). Change in plans: they want me to sign FIRST then ship out to Unk for his half. At which point it returns to COURTHOUSE, not Lawyer. Ok,,, Good to know, coulda called a guy to let him know the change in strategy,, but I ain’t bitchin’, just gonna take a couple hours off early and go deal with that, the Post Office stuff, and check into what I need to do about the water service. They are all right close together (comparitively speaking for KY)
Electric is in my name, as of Sept 4th. So, yes, there is forward movement taking place. Slow, but there.
and due to my bizzness, haven’t had a moment to play catch up. Doc Malone’s substack entries tend to long, and I do love reading them (very educational and insightful) but tonight, um,, not tonight. If need be, I’ll skim today’s when I catch up tomorrow. (its about beef production and how there is need of change in how Government intercedes all of the above. I did read some of it while taking a break at J.O.B.)
todays field day was HOT, and dirty. Old wood privacy fence that we are replacing with Vinyl stuff. Do not like the the plastic fencing, but it has improved in install compared to the 6’x8′ panels we used to get. (no flexibility for slopes. the new stuff is flexible to some degree.) But the grit and grime that builds up on those old fences: yah, you wear it home. Blech.
Too tired for much more of anything right now. So, y’all take care out there, Stay curious Love y’all.
