Been to bank and deposited cash made this AM. After costs calculated out, still made more than I do in an 8hr day at the J.O.B.

Fred tryin’ for some Snark in comments on last post NAILED IT. Fact of the matter, the growth of this country in its early years was people making the move for more liberty and freedoms and LESS GOV’T,,, Think about it, They called it the “wild wild west” because there wasn’t any real Law in the territories for decades. You had the cattleman associations that approximated what could be called ‘Law’, and I am sure there were more than a few ‘extrajudicial’ lynchings in conjunction with cattle stealin’. The Army was the closest thing to Government in that time and place. And Dueling was commonplace enough that we have legends about it.

And here, I just did a couple of jobs, under the table, for cash, using a ‘business’ that hasn’t any Permission or approval, and live in a house that the County won’t recognize as a residence because I am not tied into the grid in any way shape or form.

I’m a ghost in the machine.

I kinda like that ‘title’.

Note above: I didn’t list an actual dollar amount anywhere. To do so is called ‘self-incrimination’ and is supposedly protected in the Fifth Amendment. BUT, the truth being, the three “S’s”. The burden of Proof needs to be on the accuser, not the defense, and defense needs to shut their frellin’ trap!

Which is my entire argument against the Federal (and state/local) Taxes. They expect you to self incriminate and 99.9999% of the population complies like sheep.

the only downside to how I am doing this is that I am still using a bank. I must as to order parts online, I need a digital account. Buying local, I wouldn’t be competitive. So I leave a trace, but not one with a papertrail leading to it. That could ‘redflag’ me later, but I’m willing to run that risk right now.

And who knows, all of this infratstructure we rely on in this world could fall flat on its face tomorrow.

When systems get as complicated as ours IS, one failure can easily lead to a cascading series of failure, and things go southwards FAST. Archeology has evidence that when entire civilizations collapse, its not measured in centuries: usually one generation or a couple of decades.

And I worry that our ‘Cheap Energy’ is the fulcrum point that levers us over the edge.

But ya know something? HUMANS always come back. I want to say stronger than previous, but I can’t. There are so many UNEXPLAINED things in our history that one could conclude there was a time where “Magic” would be the only explanation to a modern person. I’m certain there would be a clear explanation to one who asked the right questions, but with what we know and the fact those people are long gone: well, we have to accept the fact that some things will likely never be known for certain.

I just wonder if Government is the boundry keeping us away from that knowledge.

I has stuff to do around the house nwo, not paying work, but critical to keeping things running well. Need to make a ramp to the door of my shed: gotta make it easy to get stuff in, and not so solid that it cause water to flow in. Thats my goal today anybowsers,,, Prolly gonna use the blocks and stone that were tossed with abandon clearing passage for the building. Kill two birds with a pile of block LOL
