My beliefs: obviously I don’t fall securely under “Christian”,,, I have never made any claims to such and more often claim “pagan” or Agnostic ( I had to declare Agnostic in the Marines, they didn’t like my FULL answer,,,)

I am NOT an Athiest,,, Maybe more a Pantheist,,, as can be attributed to the Spinoza beliefs, or the Cathars (what little we know these days of their beliefs.) or even so far back as the Gnostics. I picked up a copy of the FIRST BIBLE; the one from before the Council of NIcea and it rings closer to the Book of Thomas and the Book of Mary than the current ‘accepted’ New Testament. It does NOT contain the Old Testament,,, No mention of the Abrahamic texts at all.

I DO NOT adhere to any Abrahamic based theology,,, that includes Judaism, Islam, and most of the current modern christian religions, that still spout scripture from the Old Testament. My studies of the OT (and this is coming out all over the place in this information age) tell me that there was more than the ONE god, and that was why he had “Bad Dad” issues and was a ‘Jealous God” and demanded blood sacrifices, called for genocides, and, and, and, and,,,, The translations coming out by the vatican scholars these days, say that the original writings were modified to be a Monotheism, where they were originally polytheistic. And there have been archeology discoveries in the last century to back that claim up. Some are even saying that Original Islam was a sect that worshipped BA’al, not Yehwah, and that may be part of the “Total Dislike” aspect between the two sides.

There is even more investigation ongoing. This book/group is covering the first 200 years following the Crucifixion. After Jesus, before Christianity Lots of great explanations on translations, transliterations, and just “Wrong” stuff.

A little more background for you,,,

I have studied Buddhism, I am still reading the Bhahavad Gita and a couple of other Hindi writings; some of the vedas that I could find. (Did you know, Sanskrit has NOT changed in 4000 years? ) Still reading the First Bible, cross reference that with the Gnostic Gospels, still waiting on a copy of the Coptic Bible, read the Qu’ran enough to know better than most ‘Religion of Peace” adherants that only spout ‘talking points’ with no investigation. The study has been YEARS involved, not a recent thing at all. I probably have enough time under my belt to qualify for a graduate level Comparitive Religion degree. (please note: I study without bias. That does not mean I don’t form a bias as my learning progresses. I am an INTJ afterall, and the J means ‘judgemental’.)

Fact, I am mildly amused when someone comes here and tries to convert me,,, Not annoyed, just amused. It should only take a hour or so to scan one of my pages uptop, to know I have dug deep and hard into religous studies. Maybe not the isolated ‘can quote scripture with book and verse’, but enough to know that what I have read; can be contextually manipulated, and usually is. Much like the Anarchist side of me and how I see others trust in Government(read the “what Anarchy ISN’T” page above); I see MANY mental gymnastics in modern religion that CAN’T be explained away, so are mostly ignored. Dichotomies of thought between the OT and the NT but both are accepted as “THE word of God”, yet any one with half a brain can see the hand of man in the writings. (even the First Bible shows such, but it feels much more ‘raw’, like the words are being passed down, person to person, from that very time period. Things that current Churches would call blasphemous, were accepted as ‘correct’.)

I don’t buy into the dogmas.

SO, maybe you think I am unclean or a heretic or whatever, (I am Definitely INFIDEL to the Muslim ‘faiths’,,,) but I have concrete ethics, solid beliefs from years of seeking answers, and STILL I seek,,, I know that NO ONE KNOWS with 100% certainty, just what the heck this “LIFE” truly is, or if, like the athiests insist, ‘this is it and nothing else’,,,,

My FAITH is that this is a quantum feild, slowed down in vibration levels to a point where energy ‘solidifies’ and that these bodies are avatars, with our ‘real selves’ residing in the quantum cloud. The reason We can’t ‘feel’ that real self is because the difference in vibrational frequency. That Cloud is SOURCE,,, Every aspect that I just described can be re-worded as “Soul” “Heaven” “Hell” “God”, whatever you want, and it wouldn’t be out of place,,,

Do you see why I am amused by those that want to “Save” me? I don’t see things all that differently, but most of them can NOT see my side, at all; nor do they try, in most cases. I’ve been down the darkened alleys and poked under the curtains enough to make up my own mind.

If you really want a dive into things, from my perspective and research, read the Book of Thomas in the Gnostic Gospels, then read the Kybalion,,, the Hermetic principles. Then do some digging into Quantum Mechanics, quantum entanglement, the observer effect, etc etc and KEEP AN OPEN MIND,,, You might find that the Teachings of Yeshua/Issa/Jesus aren’t all that far out compared to the things SCIENCE is ‘discovering’ now.

Those sure as heck beat the “Bad Dad with Narcissistic tendencies” god of the Old testament.

and that goes right back to Spinoza. How can a God create a FLAWED product? WHY would a God create a flawed product, KNOWINGLY? Those are the sort of questions that have been the basis of my ‘seeking’. I can’t say how many times I have heard “you were born in SIN”, and never given an explanation as to why God would have created such. The only explanation I can find is that “he ain’t what he claims” and that falls right in line with Yeshua not claiming the God of Abraham as “his Father”,,, the words have been twisted around over the last two milennia, and to WHOSE benefit?

Just know, I may at times write about my beliefs, or quote some other philosopher or something, but I AM NOT ATTACKING YOUR FAITH! I am merely being myself, open with the fact that I am not mainstream in my beliefs. Choose your beliefs carefully, because we have over 4000 years of history that was manipulated for someones benefit and 2000 years of history written in blood because “God Wills IT”,,, even against other Christians (the Gnostics and the Cathars being only TWO examples. )
