Now THIS, is a BLEG
But not for money,,,
There is this thing we discuss in the blogosphere (anywhere you work in the nets for that matter) called SEO
Search Engine Optimization
It’s sorta like a credit score, though no actual numbers to be seen. IT does make it so that when someone inputs a search string in a browser, it raises the chances they MIGHT see yours over someone elses.
From all I can tell, The Left Blogs, the few that are out there, have this SEO thing down pat,,, OR, a more likely scenario, are given a handicap by the Silicon Valley types.
What does this mean TO YOU, my readers,,, Not much, and that’s why I am asking for a little help from you. It won’t take but a femtosecond of your time to do this: a blink of an eye when you do come and read my drivel.
Hit that “LIKE” button,
Even if you never comment, that like button has POWER that you can’t even fathom. Even if you DO comment, Hit that LIKE button there at the bottom of your screen. Even if you don’t like what I have to say in a particular post, but have in the past, PLEASE HIT THAT LIKE BUTTON. Every “LIKE” drives up the chances that some new reader will find me. THEN, its up to me; Am I filling that role of a qualitative voice in the void. But if the search engines ignore me, that chance to prove me worth is shot at the waterline. Same thing goes for the podcast posts. I am not publishing on one of the actual podcasting sites AT THIS TIME, but if my ‘readership’ goes up with the addition of such, that becomes a possibility. I can not tell you how much that idea bothers me, but I have to accept the changing times or be buried like the dinosaurs. People just don’t read that much these days. I have already seen too many fellow bloggers go the wayside over the last 17 years, and seeing Francis ditch the effort (for whatever reason he chose to dive), set my teeth on edge with fears of obsolescence. I ain’t ded, yet!!!
—————————————————————————————————————————————-
Talkin’bout that ‘not ded, yet’,,, been playing around with the diet thing, BIGGEST change is the soda/pop addiction. I’ve cut those down hugely. I allow myself ONE 12oz soda a day, preferably one made with cane sugar, not the HFCS crap. Here they come from Mexico. ONE,,,, that was rough at the start of the first week. I believe I already mentioned it, but I have kept to it quite well.
As for what I eat, I’ve shifted that too. Not fasting, or at least not long term fasting, but intermittent fasting, or time fasting as I think some call it. I have a window of 5 hours a day where I can eat, what I eat is not the point so much as when. BUT I am restricting my diet to fats and proteins. 130g of protein a day, enough fats to kick in the ‘I’m full’ hormone (Lysine? or that other one,,, can’t remember). Teaching the body to burn fats instead of feeding it full of rocket fuel sugars. Typical lunch for me is a 1/2 avocado, can of yellowfin Tuna (in water if i can find it, olive oil otherwise,,, NO SEED OILS) a handful of spanish olives, salt and wasabi for tastes. Mixing the tuna with the avocado in its special built bowl, dash of salt and wasabi,,, Mmm good. Sometimes that will be it for the day, other days, I double up on it, or add something else, like a double roast beef sammich from Arby’s and give the bun to the birds. No sauce, just finger ‘et roast beef.
and its working. I have noted going into ketosis more often. I can tell because my breath changes (Keto breath, look it up). and my body odors have changed a little. Enough that I keep catching mamakat sniffing me to make sure I am me. (her eyesight was never really good, and is getting worse.).
And a pair of jeans I didn’t fit in 3 months ago, slid on just fine this morning.
interestingly, the scale says I haven’t lost a single pound, past the original 10: hovering around 195#. Researching that: seems that muscles start storing more water because it takes more water to burn fat. So the fat is going away (I can feel a difference in my ‘dad belly’, getting some slack there.) and I’m doing so in a healthy way. Maybe I should have pulled a vanity move and taken a ‘before’ pic,,,, Naw,,, I can feel changes happening, like skin tone improvements, hunger pangs becoming a rarity, and the cravings for sugar highly reduced. Actually, had a ‘pop’ the other day, one with HFCS, couldn’t finish it, TOO sweet.
So go ahead and hit that like button on the posts,,, Help me get some traffic up and maybe, just maybe get some new readers as well. Hatez the self promotion crap, feel like a bigger, or panhandler at the end of the off-ramp,,,

Cutting out the sodas is a HUGE bonus. I noticed a big drop in weight once I stuck to it. Once upon a time I wouldn’t think twice about polishing off a 2 liter per day (RC has always been my favorite but gettin hard to find… Pepsi is the default) I got down to ONE can or individual bottle ( 16 oz?) per week, but it was a struggle. It was FAR easier to give up Peruvian Marching Powder way back in the day, than it was to give up soda! Now, I usually do 1-3 per week, but nowhere near my former addiction. I kinda sucks, not gonna lie, but it gets way easier as time goes by. Keep it up Dio!!
