Thats the thought after this day at the J.O.B.

Was able to spend the day with the son of one of the other older guys.   His son is off on vakay from college currently, and he always comes to work for us during that time.   That being said, yes, the boy has a set of brains in his head, is quite lucid in his ways, and generally speaking “NOT STOOPID”

Highly deluded maybe, seeing how he is Strongly SOCIALIST in his beliefs, and willing to defend them,

oh yeah, he is in college to become a Lawyer.

Yeah, Dio was having a good day with lots of talks about purty much everything.

The one area where we started getting a little hot (no pun intended) was CLIMATE CHANGE and I hammered home some points that he wasn’t prepared to entertain,

hence the title of this post.    Never concede the floor, even if wrong.  

Has anyone else noted that is a main tactic of the left?   Rhetorical queston, requires no answer.  

No need to go into details about it, his logic was solid even if upon vaporous foundations that have been proven to be faked.  And I had to point to several articles showing that the hockey stick curve was intentionally created, that most of the hardcore Climatologists are employed by groups like Net-zero or Soros backed groups.    He refused to budge.   He kept saying ‘its hotter now than it was last year!’ ,  at which point I pulled him out to the street, pointed into the sky and said, “You see that big glowing thing up there?   If it weren’t there, it would be cold right now,,,  THAT has more to do with how hot or cold it is than ANYTHING we little Terran-lice can do to this big blue marble.”

Nope,,, Sol has nothing to do with this thing we call “WEATHER” and doesn’t matter how many ice cores  you pull out of the polar regions to prove that massive atmospheric ratio shifts do NOT show related Climatic shifts.   Doesn’t matter that you can pull up solar cycles that DO match climatic shifts,,,,    NOPENOPENOPEnope,,, not gonna hear it , we evil Hooomans are destroying our planet,,,,  (and it doesn’t matter that you can show what happens in less than a hundred years, to civilizations that failed, in the Amazon rain forest,,, Mama-natures reclaims her territory FAST!!)

Facts mean nothing,,,   Even in our arguments, I coudn’t sway him that Socialism is a doomed prospect from the get-go.   He kept arguing that SOCIALIZED MEDICINE is leaps and bounds above Free Market based such.    I had to agree that we do NOT have such at this time,  but I couldn’t get it through his head that the one instance he experianced such, was NOT THE NORM.   I tried to point out the travesty that is on our northern border; how the peoples that can, are fleeing it, to come here to have work done: not sit on some list, hoping against hope the people in line before them die off before they do.   Or the mess that the healthcare system in Cuba is, or Venenzuala.

Indoctrination runs DEEP.   I know it as i was as well.   Until my break up, I would have been likely to side with him on many things.  Not all as I had been waking up for some time, but when 2007 came around (the break up) and I started asking HARD QUESTIONS.   Then 2008 Collapse and I started seeing the cracks in the gilded scenery flats,,,,   Yeah,,, its been a long strange trip, well worth it, and once on that road, there really is no re-glazing of the lenses you see through.   (you can get black-pilled, but you STILL SEE THE TRUTH.)

I can only hope that some of the things I said today found hooks to grab in his mind, and later, much like those things my reading teacher dumped in my mind: little timebombs of info that  EXPLODE and blast away the dogma of the left.

The only other way I have seen that works: The world has to rape him of his delusions.   He hasn’t been fucked over enough yet.  

OR,

Things have to collapse back to base reset mode (no economy, nothing to support our technological lifestyle; Think late iron age pre-industrial state.)   That last isn’t a guarantee either,,,  At least the first way is centered on one person, not the world at large with lots of pain and suffering for all, including those awake.

That all being said, it was almost cathartic, being able to hold a conversation where both sides KNEW something, and were able to RATIONALLY hold their own, without resorting to “Lalalalalala!!!” while shoving thier fingers in their ears.   The other person on the crew (Burnout) actually kept his peace and occasionally asked stuff, like, “what does that word mean?”  So he was listening, and not interjecting in emotional responses: in other words, he was learning something,,,, Maybe,,, Talkin’ bout Burnout here, so,,,,,,

Update on the home front, NO CHANGE.   Mama still has one kitten in her charge, though I am having a hella time getting her to give a damn about the poor little thing.   I think she is rejecting it and can’t figure why, but then, pea-brained kat full of instincts and hormones, no logic to speak of,,,,  She may sense a problem in the baby that I can’t see: Figure evolutionary instincts ‘let the child die, that the species grows stronger’ (though she wouldn’t be able to formulate that thought as we do.)  and there may be that Premature birth thing,,,  I can’t say they were premature, but they seemed much smaller than usual TO ME,,,   empirical observation, take with grain of salt,,,   I’m playing on that: give it a week more, and the baby will have developed enough that she seems normal to Mama and Mama takes to her.   Right now, its a fight and if I have to bottle feed the baby for a week first, By Dawg, thats what Dio is gonna do.   Been enough loss of life in this household the past week.
