Welcome to my brain. It’s messy. It’s interesting. And it’s all connected if you stick around long enough. "Believe Nothing: no matter who said, even if I have said it, except it agree with your own reason and common sense. Siddhartha Guatamo, the Buddha.

Break the tease,,,(Heresy for a sunday.)

That rabbit hole,,,, a video synopsis of it anyways,,, Pay attention to the last 15 minutes or so,,,,

Facts.  Most of the New Testament was put in written form several decades to a century AFTER the death of Christ.

Several of the original texts have ZERO mention of the Crucifixion, and while there are discrepencies in ‘what happened’ this can be expected as no two people will observe the same event in exactly the same manner. (and many interregators will tell you, when two stories match perfectly, both people are lying,,)  the real issue here is that the event was ADDED AFTERWARD with no mentions prior,,,,

There is little to no evidence in Roman Records of a Jesus, but there are records for an Yashuah, and ISA,, the name of the person buried in Kashmir (see video above)  The book of Thomas in the Gnostic texts does not use the name Jesus, but Yashuah.

The hole I fell into is well documented; there is substantial evidence, even in modern niches, that give lie to the narrative.   That ONLY the Christian sects claim there was a death and resurrection, even though the events leading to that point are recorded in the other sects; Judaism and Muslim accordingly.   There are ‘pilgrimages’ of Jews to Kashmir to see the burial place, to this day.  The people of that area also call themselves the “10th Tribe of Israel” (so there may be some bias, but I think time and distance from the mother tribe would erase some of that.)(NOTE, look at the facial features of the local people,,, Definitely NOT asian/mongol, much more Caucasian/Roman features, including that hawkish beak of a nose.)

Here us where my problem arose.   The teachings of Jesus AS DOCUMENTED were counter to much of the teachings of Judaism, then AND now.   Much more aligned with Buddhism or so similar as to make no difference.   There was that whole Gaping Hole of years where NOTHING was known or written (14-29) and then suddenly he was a powerhouse of Messiah.   Even following the ‘death’, his power was used by others, in a very divided way, creating many sections and beliefs; Some quite ‘out-there’.

I said I don’t believe in coincidences.   Very much an Occams Razor kind of guy.   And I see too many traces of Human Nature’s desire for Power over Others in the rise of the Christian Faith.   Buddhism does not contain a heaven or hell, its claims of source of enlightenment is internal, a gift one must acheive, not be rewarded by some external judge.  But the peaceful nature, the ‘Choose'(not Submit), the ‘meek shall inherit the earth’ philosophy,,, Common currency with Buddhism and Christianity, but  not readily apparent in either of the other two (and obviously absent in Islam with the ‘kill all infidel’ creedo.)

What burns me: a narrative, twisted from whole cloth, that was kidnapped for personal power, that led to the creation of a hostile narrative in Islam, and between the two,  has killed more people over 2000 years than any group of governance ever has, under the guise of “God wills it”. (and that last is on BOTH sides,,,,   One God? Two beliefs at odds?   yeah,,, that’s no bias, that’s just looking beyond what I am told,,,)

Re-watch that vid, the last few words says all I needed to hear about my feelings on this.   Cognitive dissonance would/does make the evidence MOOT.  2000 Years of lies won’t be corrected no matter how much evidence, irrefutable evidence, is thrown at it.  People want to believe what they want to believe and DO NOT like admitting they fell for a Con: you only need look at how we are still recoiling in public 3 years after the Rona’s with it’s attendant Tyranny.  People will do as they FEEL, and thinks rarely have much to do with it.

So my rabbithole is just that; a small hole that someone occasionally falls into but will never amount to anything beyond the personal.   Meanwhile, it has reinforced my thoughts of quantum cloud based reality (which is gaining more and more evidence as we move forward. ) That we make our own reality, sharing small parts of others for brief flashes that LOOK uniform and coherent.    Time and space being the illusion we create to learn something, or to escape the cloud for a brief spell (vakay) or,,,,

Both aspects come back to that “what if”, that is The UnComfortable Truth that All religions try to answer.   The big difference between Buddhism and Christianity is that Buddhism doesn’t try to explain it away, or create myths to alleviate suffering; it accepts that is the fact and shows a way to enlightenment HERE, NOW, not after the fact.   Nor does it try to milk it’s parishioners of their livelihood.  There IS a hierarchy within, but if you were to walk into a buhhdist monestary, you would be hard pressed to SEE it,,, they all look outwardly the same, the ‘rank’ is within, EARNED, and not just some title attached to a name. (could be why I am  attracted to it more so than the others.   I am very Meritocratic in my biases.)  That Hierarchy is not a POWER base thing,  You don’t see the Buhhdist’s waging war on other sects (The Crusades for example, or such current conflicts as we have in the M.E. currently, which looks like it may take on a Crusades mode, at least with the Western world.)

Doesn’t matter.  I believe what I want to believe, you believe what you want to believe, and as long as we don’t step on each other’s toes, or you try to kill me for not believeing as you; it’s all good.   Oh, and no buggering babies, or slaughter them at an alter, or well, No Killin’, except in self-defense.    Thats my Pagan-ish side comin’ out.  “So long as it harms NONE, do as ye will.”   (and that “none” includes the self.)    LIVE AND LET LIVE.   and yet seems to be the hardest thing for our species to understand,,,,

keep on livin’

    • as for the muslims, what if, conspiracy, prospiracy, what-evs,,, The muslim, as currently exist, were a plot by some group, (insert your favorite evil group here) because they were losing control of the narrative and needed the Kings, dukes and barons under their flag,,,,,
Not saying that IS the case, but with all the other ‘Odd shit’ I have tripped over, sure wouldn’t surprise me none,,,,, Of course, we will never know for certain, will we. Speculation is all we have
