kept getting ECM codes for “ignition system/multiple misfires’ but she was running strong. Today, I decided to get back under the hood and sure as shit, could grab the DIzzy and wiggle it,
A LOT
maybe I didn’t tighten the bolt enough or something, but that dizzy was able to bounce a full quarter inch, and that explained why my Oil pressure was acting flaky too. The dizzy shaft drives the oil pump. The movement was not enough to jump time, but it sure was walking advanced/retarded faster than the computer could keep up with.\
SO there is a good chance I DID burn through 17 gallons of fuel in a week, and that my cousin is innocent THIS TIME,,,,
Doesn’t change my opinion of the ratbastard one iota: he’s still a peice of shit and poster child for retroactive abortion, but I can admit when I am wrong and I think I am in this case. Still going to put that locking gascap on the Buff anyway. Better safe than sorry seeing fuel costs are probably going back up soon.
things are tight now, and I am going to go fill up and reset the trip meter. Will see come Freeday how things are, and if this was the reason I did the walk of shame to the gas station,,,,

1stly, I never met ANYone who wasn’t some kinda foool-ish at sometime in their life.
Hey, I’ve also never met anyone who didn’t fug up oncet in awhile, and not doublecheck *quite* good enuff (ahem, harumppphhh). And then *jumping* ahead, at least a little bit. Problem in my case, no friggin body else to look to – dammit! So guess where the dam mirrors reflection points to? Huhhh, give ya 1 guess.
Good thing is that ya CAN admit it! Buncha MF’s out there that cain’t!! Never much gave me a problem, either. Sometimes yer the bug, sometimes the windshield.
In yer sitch-e-ation, that could very well be the gas problem. Seen a loose dizzy more’n oncet, meself. NEVER did it meself, ya unnerstand, just heerd of it🙃
Naw, ya gotta keep watchin 6. Dam shame, though. I know when this hoose was my Granny’s, she didn’t start lockin the front door until AFTER certain legislation was passed in the 60’s – didn’t need to. Just sayin. Don’t dare leave it open now – that’s a gimme. Still remember those unlocked doors, though.

Those locked doors. Didn’t realize how freeing being able to ‘not worry’ was until I moved here and had 5-6 years of not needing to lock up. It sounds ludicrous to people that haven’t had that freedom, but its HUGE the amount of peace of mind you have
until you don’t,,, and then it comes crashing in that people are not as ‘good’ as you imagined.

In the seventeen years we owned our house in Idaho. The main entrance door lock was defective and couldn’t be locked. So in all that time our house was left unsecured. This also included my shop out back. We also always left the keys in all our vehicles.
Not one incident of theft in all that time…
Sold it and moved down to Floriduh, and was amazed at friends which locked all doors , even when at home ! After having lived here 25 yrs now , we too always lock everything up. Though only at night when we’re home…
Let’s just say , thieves have visited our stuff a time or two here lol.
Mostly vehicles for stuff and yes gas…
Had a real frequent problem with gas at one time. So I mixed up a special blend once and left it in a container in the pickup.
They never came back ha ha
