Any one here at the shop recall there was a time when Demoncraptastic was labeled RED, not blue? And remember there was a name for fence sitting demomcraps; “Blueblood Democrat”? While I was growing up, that last always struck me as strange because it seemed like someone was using the term in a derogatory way, but the color and the term seemed like it meant they were die-hards. It actually meant they were leaning republican’t in certain choices.
Now the color shift happened in my lifetime, I vaguely recall it, and I do recall my Grampaw saying ‘they just wanna hide thier communist intents’ (funny since he and grandma were lifelong Dems, guess he was one of the bluebloods no?) but I really had no interest in politics at that time: I was more worried about learning long division the way the teacher wanted us to do it and not piss off Gramps ‘that way is stoopid!’ the Engineer. (Thanks for the intervention there Grandma,,, Saved the day you did) But ya-know, He was dead on correct,,, it was ‘camoflage’ for intent: a prospiracy if you will.
Well, it doesn’t matter a whole lot these days with both parties being the same coin for an illusion of choice.

thnking ORANGE as its color (no not in honor of orangemanbad, but because the one time I saw it as purple I thought it was just a blend of current trends, orange is the polar opposite in the color wheel, and polar opposite is what we need.)
Or, a hand with the index finger raised and the finger is PURPLE, in honor of how some other countries hold thier elections. (they may still fuck with shit behind closed doors, but at least they don’t cheat on WHO voted,,,) (yeah, I keep using that word,,, No, it doesn’t mean what I think it means anymore. and that, IS the problem.) I may even use the cricut to cut a few later today,,, I can’t do much, but if I can get some people talking at a local level, maybe it could spread. People aren’t happy with what we have, that isn’t up for argument I believe; but people need a choice they can understand quickly or they will keep falling back on ‘whats known’ even if whats known is killing them (slowly, for now).
Why a porcupine, not an eagle? or some other grand animal? Well, eagles are cool and all, but they are aloof, not real bright, and rather fragile in reality. Now, a porcupine? Thats one tough sumbitch! Just ask any dog that has tangled with one. or bear. and the porcupine doesn’t give a shit what YOU do so long as you leave it to do what IT does. I think as a totem animal. it fits better what Ameri-CANS are/strive for. Certainly much better than some animal that hasn’t existed (in nature) on this continent for millenia, or some stubborn cuss of a herd animal.
anywhooos, the water calls, the daylight is breaking out there, and the fogs will be burned off by the time I hit lakeside. has a paddle that needs ‘broke in’ and miles to go and get more thinks in.
