The smells of autumn

I remember now why I don’t really like the smells of autumn,,, Its a subliminal switch that means “HIbernation time coming” and I start getting lethargic and sluggish,,, I just wanna put a pot of chili on the stove, close the doors, drop the shades and VEGETATE until late March,,,,

Can’t be having that now,,, oh hellnoze,,,, Gots things need done still, more miles on kayaks, work that doesn’t stop just because the winds and chilled rains are blowin’,,,

Hate winter time, I do, but, hating it doesn’t stop it one little bit; it just makes me angry and spiteful and I have to keep up my sweetness and light demeanor with more effort. (sarc)

Been reading some stuff on the webs about the growing issues in the ME,,, Looks like my offhand prediction about “Crusades” may be taking root,,, God Help US if it does,,, Too many stacks of Canned Sunshine in that neck of the world and some seriously off kilter personalities with the keys to them. Don’t want to chime in too much because that is one that we have ZERO say in, and the knife honing has been going on for 3000 flippin’ years. I said it once before: that mess will continue until one side or the other wipes out its opposite: no other solution will suffice. Peace treaties never last when two “religion’s” square off. (IMO, islam is NOT a religion, but an ideology wearing the trappings of one, and the “Submit or Die” side of it leaves no room for debate towards peace. But that is a whole nuther post in itself.)

Having seen Sunni “Sharia” in action, first hand,,, I am forced to throw in my support for Israel, and I have limited love for that tribe, for different reasons. I just know if Islam takes root in all of the countries it has encroached in, things are going to become VERY medieval, and all of my thoughts and arguments of AnarchyX and WOROL whatnot are shit on a shingle. It will be holy war on every front, even here in appalachistan. (at least on the fringes, deep in, not so much.)

Did I mention I hate winter? yeah,,, hates it.

And strangely enough, willing to go camping in it. And right now, with all the shit flying around the webs, distractions from Ukraine and KrainFeld and his Kottary of Klowns and, and, and, Hell, that escapism thing I thought might be burned out yesterday is back ON with an overload shunt added in. Wants to get away and not look back. Can’t fix the world, can’t fix stoopid, and you can’t fix religious tropes,,,,

and someone ALWAYS wants to be in control,,, Doesn’t matter how much we take back, there is always that one asshat that thinks “If only there were a law…” That is how Islam came to be, might be how ALL of the religions of the world came to be for that matter,,,, Much easier to get people to believe in some mysterious force with malvolent intentions than “gravity did it” (especially when they had no clue about such concepts,,,,)

And all of this falls right in line with my thinks on “god is US” and my quantum beliefs,,, Not going to delve into that here: thats one for fireside chats and bottles of booze on cold ass nights when you know you have a warm bed to fall into when the AlkyHaul kicks in too strongly. But I will say, that with as crazy as the world IS, and if one small part of each of us makes up this God persona, than yeah, there is a world of hurt in store for this planet.

BUT, this planet can wipe us all out with one serious belch and be back to her normal self in 20 solar cycles, and we had best NOT forget that, eh? 20 solar cycles is barely even a cup of coffee to this planet in HER timeline,,,,

Fires in the stove, temps are falling fast tonight, kids are sprawled all over around the stove (except mamakat, with her long fur, she’s in the solarium window,,,,) and Dio has kayaks dancing in his head despite the words of this post,,, Krazy I is, youbetcha!!!!
