As the days pass

My mood does turn toward gloomy as the trees head towards hibernation. Chill without being cold today, just enough rain to knock remaining leaves off skeletal trees, and my only reason for optimism was a day away with friends yesterday.

Did some horse trading, and now have the Vizcaya back in the quiver, GHOST is slotted to leave us now, and she will be missed, but B is the better choice for her: WAY too much boat for lil’ol’me. And he’ll be packing her for three or more so much better fit. I’d be inclined to take the kitchen sink just to fill the huge gaps my gear would leave in those cavernous compartments.

And the only reason I wanted Viz back was for newbs. She’s been beat up and hung out to dry before, but still has life in her, and I won’t be adverse to putting her on a river with a soon to be wet paddler, as I use Blue Jean being the guide/instructor, and Viz is a higher volume boat for larger paddlers.. I will NOT put Lizzy on the upper Cumberland, no way no how, not for any reason short of GTFOD, and Blue jean would be a better fit for that scenario, anyways. (When the ship lifts, all bills are settled,,, and you don’t cry over the left behinds,,,) BJ has more storage ability,,,

Fighting the gloomies today; its just a grey day, late fall and I can see at least 5 more months before the green starts to return. Lots of cold ‘tween now and then as well. *sigh*

And we are fast approaching the Crux of (S)election cycles that are purt much gar-un-damn-teed to be a continuination of our currently programmed shit-show,,, ,

Yeah, that ain’t helpin’ none,,

Anywhoos, Imagonna get out and about, try to get some fresh air in me lungs, (I do love the smells of autumn, even if I despise the upcoming season it presents to me.)

Keep your’n eyes to the horizons, things are afoot in the world, not many are friendly to us wild types
