I guess ya could say my spirits are dampered knowing that a friend is going through the trials that BCE is,,, I can’t say that I have been that level of ‘fucked’, but with some of the crap my Ex-wife pulled, I can make a damned close approximation of it. When my daughter came of age and she asked be about that time period; ‘why did you and mom split up?’ kinda question, my response was reserved, but honest. “if we hadn’t split then, there would have been a body, hers or mine, but someone was going to die a horrible death.” Years later (like 6, or so) she came to me and said, ” I see it now,,, ” and that was about the time she cut my EX out of her life as well. Some people just have to have total control and nothing else matters, not results, opinion or long term effects. My ex was one such.

Its Thursday, payday, and the end of a week, beginning of a weekend. Not sure but I think the kid may have quit today. He left early, without gathering his pay, didn’t stop at the shop to say ‘hey’ or ‘F!U!’, nuthin,,, I’ll fire off a text later and see if he is still up for getting on water, and if not, so what. I will. Maybe only to paddle around some. Using that wobble board is making a difference, and I noted something a couple days back. After work, I about fall off the thing the first five minutes, hard as hell to stay upright. Why??? Probably because I spend most all day on my feet, and my back stiffens up. 8-10 hours on your feet on hard concrete in work boots wrecks the lumbar, and the lumbars are where I need to be the loosest. SO, 5 minutes of “working out the kinks”, then things smooth out and I can get into the rest of the routine I started playing with. 10 minutes of paddling simulation, then stretches to full left, full right and then ‘Edge and HOLD’ using only my hips and torso twist. I have to do that since the board has no knee support, but I figure if I can do that without the support, then when I have it, I should be even better. Of course, like all things ‘does not survive first contact with the enemy’ is probably gonna bite my ass,,, Will see.
Went over to Sarahs blog to get a different feel for things, She is under the wire for getting one of her books out, so did a repost from way-back. 2013 way back. Rather unsettling to see some of her prognostication bearing fruit, but really, it wasn’t Second sight, but finely honed Extrapolation from a Sc-Fi writer. GO give it a read,,, And totally in the black for much of the techno side of things: working from home being a major trend, that I might have scoffed at 9 years ago, and I had just left the IT field about that time. (can NOT abide being ‘chained’ to a desk for 8 hours a day. LITERALLY TIED to the desk with microphone/headset cables as Tier 1 helpdesk. Look at our GOV and explain to me why Anyone of rational and honest character want to spend MILLIONS of dollars on a campaign, for a job that “ONLY” pays 140K/year??? Well, We know by looking at the books of such as AOC, who before she somehow made it through the obstacle course and into that POP*, was living with Mama and was an out of work Barista with a degree that is not even useful as toilet paper. But NOW, has Rental Real Estate, multiple homes, several Top Dollar Autos, and she hasn’t been there all that long,,,++ Its NOT the salary that attracts, and we damned well know it, but we turned the blinders over our eyes for years and years, and

And some of us are finding out just how deep the rot goes, and just how local it can be, not just consigned to that Reclaimed Swampland on the shores of the Potomac.
Another point that blunts the energy of the spirit,,, Not much I can do about it either. My intentions may be read between the lines, but never in print. Not that my intentions have a snowballs chance in hell of reaching fruition, but one can dream, eh?
And who knows, one day the opportunity may present itself, and a moment of clarity falls over that moment,,,,

++ of course there are several ‘fact check’ sites claiming this is fake news,,, umhmmm,,, The one thing I have found out about Fact checkers is that they are NOT as claimed but ARE paid to bury stories, and seeing something declared false by such usually has me looking further, not rejecting the story as told as they HOPE for.
