Welcome to my brain. It’s messy. It’s interesting. And it’s all connected if you stick around long enough. "Believe Nothing: no matter who said it, even if I have said it, except it agree with your own reason and common sense. Siddhartha Guatamo, the Buddha.

BOOLSHITTE!!!

How about getting off that highhorse and doing something REAL, instead of posturing posing and bleeting like a frickin sheep.

I dunno, maybe something like writing a book describing HOW to go offgrid or the details of changes that need to be made to do so. I DID write such a book and to this very day, I find it so humorous that some greenies types will start asking me questions about it, but when they find out how I did away with television, high powered gaming computers, HVAC, and thermostats, they get a little green around the gills. They so want to save the earth, but,,,,,

They signal that, but they have so little inclination to actually DO. Thats what government is for: to make everybody ELSE do,, They don’t see their own hypocrisy nor the ‘freedom of choice’ thing when it comes to everybody else. They are completely absorbed in themselves and can’t see it.

Its this small example of human nature that eats at me. Yeah, I can be quite selfish, when it comes to being free to make my own choices!!! If I haven’t that freedom, then nothing else I do is worth a damn to anyone else. At least with freedom, I have the choice of being completely selfish, or SELFLESS. People that know me IRL know I will bend over backwards to help others and go above and beyond for those I can do so for. But under one condition: they must be trying on their own FIRST.

But time, age, wisdom, what have you, has taught me to be very cautious about the giving. I learned a hard lesson of “no good deed will go unpunished”, and usually by the very same government that those listed earlier so love and cherish. So if I seem callous and cold to some, its because they have not shown me a reason to lower my defenses.

One thing I won’t do is ‘just give money’. A few instances, like when BCE needed help, or Mike iver at Cold Fury, or when Sarah did her Bleg. They have already proven they will DO before they hit that wall of admitting they need some assistance. B

Besides, those that do know me IRL also know I’m about as broke as broke can be when you factor in national averages. I did this to myself years ago when I chose to make my world as self-sufficient as I could without going full “living under a rock” Curmudgeon. And that I have no mortgage, or utility bills allows me the comfort of a job less then optimal in pay but huge in personal freedoms of ‘don’t feel like it this month’,,, I like being having the freedom to take two months off to pursue other efforts if I choose. I don’t normally, but the option is there. That freedom would be even broader if I hadn’t chose to accommodate three fuzzy socialist kats and a furry hooligan Mutt. They tend to get upset if I leave for more than 24 hours.

Maybe I’m turning into that “krazy kat dood”.

Mehbe, mehbe nawt.

Tanx 4 list-nin. I needed that off me brainpan.

    • I go back and forth with Thoreau, ‘went too far, didn’t far enough’ kind of back and forth.
I have similar ‘walks of the mind’ withTom Brown of ‘the tracker’ fame, whom I have studied and practiced for 3 decades.
