The kitteh logs.

Mamakat, aka Grumpykat, is still pulling her elitist “feed me Hooman slave” routine, BUT, she isn’t as openly hostile with the ‘intruders’. Just a warning hiss ‘that’s plenty close enough you little cretinous rat!’ and the kittehs are all brakes and backpeddle. The GK sits there with her smug expression and a slow swish of the tail. Which, to me, is always a sign of reasonable contentedness with a pinch of boredom. I think she is happy she is still boss but doesn’t quite want to be left alone; she is curious as hell but has to establish her reign first.

Last eve, I was the alpha tom on Spitter. I made him sit in my lap with his brother until he was relaxing (quiet time, warm lap, brother being a silly goose chasing literally everything and nothing at all. After 20 minutes or so, it was wrestlemania on my legs and chest until they dropped into a stupor that only littles seem to be capable of. Full throttle to Nada in 0.02 seconds. Spitter (working on names, bear with me) didn’t even mew when I picked him up and put him in the cave; totally comatose cat puddle.

And this morning, it was “yikes, big scary monster,,,, oh, is dad,,,”. Voo still freaks him out some, but Voo is a loud mouth and I wouldn’t want him any other way. He’s my security system and doorbell. So little Fuzzbutt kitteh has to adapt.

But, I am one whipped ass dude right now. Wrastlin a Groundhog most of the day (it digs holes, is called a groundhog and its a bear to use in Kentucky clay soils) and evening mowing has done me in, and I still need to catch up on my daily reads.

If only the world were as simple as my life.
