When work starts really kicking hard, and the weather is good enough that I am on water when I’m not burning metals. Long days at the shop or leading a crew followed by ‘get home and get the chores done’ so I can have more time out when the days off roll around.
And thats a good thing for my sanity and my readers. Some of my best posts have been tapped out while sitting on a river bank or some little island on a lake. Clarity hits and the muse ambushes me, and I start writing.
I wrote 2 chapters of my last book like that. Sitting out away from the societal world, nothing but birds and wind and waves,,,,
Ghost boat is loaded, Duh!kee is ready to load up(I like choices), the lake is calling and there is just enough cloud cover to threaten rain and keep the power boaters at the dock. I have a drybox for the phone, day hatch is loaded with snacks so I don’t have a repeat of last weeks snafu, and I NEED to get away for a spell.

So while I have been lacking in posts, I haven’t been lacking in activity. And keeping up with The Fraud has been quite at the bottom of the list the last few.
It’s time for a break, from reality so to speak. (Though the reality of the wild is far more real to me)

Damn that’s one sweet boat….

“Genius” ‘misread’ (my tail…) his schedule and showed up last night instead of tonight. Considering the f****-ed over scheduling and load, that wasn’t ALL bad. But now, I get to cover for his shift tonight. Damn right I’m Mythical.

This guy is generally reliable, but is.. avoidant.. of power equipment and thus does n’t like doing setup since such is required. His presence is actually a net gain, just not as much gain as one might hope/expect. Oh well, another 8 hours pay for me.
