Read a post by Orvan Taurus and left a longish comment, and now, takin’ it a step further here.

I have to keep this in my hind brain or I really start to lose it with the doings of the days worlds,,,  REALLY, we have it DAMNED GOOD, and the only thing wrong is the same thing that is ALWAYS WRONG: GOVERNMENT OVERREACH, alternatively, depending on your proclivity to contrarianism; GOVERNMENT AS A WHOLE,,,,

Look around you.  Swing by the strip mall, look at ALL of the things that people take for granted today, the stores, the restaurants, the autoparts places, the hardware stores,,,,,   

and like I pointed out in that comment; the Chinese Restaurants.   Places that you can go, eat ALL YOU WANT for not all that much cash, and eat things that King Louis XIV would never have dreamed of,,,  And you can do this hundreds of miles from any coastal fisheries and have an entire meal of seafood (day dependent in most cases,,)  

We have toys, that we carry around with us, that feed us music as a backing track to our days, communications that can reach world wide at the touch of a button, from almost anywhere on land, even at sea in some cases, and can access information that rivals and surpasses that of the libraries of the not so recent past: in a package that fits in the backpocket of your jeans.

Heck, the fact that jeans are now so ubiquitous in our daily lives,,,,

I live off-grid (for the most part, cell service ties me in) I have a comfortable home with running water, hot and cold, heat sources to keep it warm in the winter, and insulated solidly enough that I don’t need AC in the summer months.  A house that is heads higher in quality than those that were built 100 years ago in these parts, but by todays standards is still “a shack”,,, (size wise mostly; 16’X24′ floorplan with large porch,,,)  It has ammenities that weren’t available 100 years ago, though not up to todays standards for most.   I prefer it that way.  Don’t like microwaves, don’t want the Boobtoob,,,,,   It could  have those things, but I would need to upgrade to a larger power system; more solar panels, larger battery bank, bigger inverter,,,,

BUT I COULD DO IT,,, Thats the point, we have the means!!!   We HAVE THE MEANS!!!

And its all fudged up by regulations legislations, ‘politically correct thinking’ that protects those that need a good swift punch to the face and taught how to have skin thicker than a wet tissue.

Look at Elon Musk.   Dood is blowing up more hardware at a faster rate than NASA ever did, making LEAPS of engineering feats due the great information gleaned from those failures.   HE HAS THE MEANS,,,, Those means were not just handed to him, they were accumulated over decades and decades of ‘hm, that’s interesting’ growth.  He is doing what all the others before have done: Standing on those shoulders of Giants and reaching for the stars (literally in his case)

Most people just go through life lounging on those shoulders, taking it for granted that ‘this is how it is’.

Until it “Ain’t”

I mentioned in that comment at Ox’s, that ‘if there is a reduction in population greater than 65%, we are in trouble.  The chances of the likes of Elon Musk and his engineers being a large part of the survivors is slim.   Chances are that the lower rungs would make up a greater portion of the survivors and how many of those would know ‘How to make a toaster”

That was the drive behind this Blog so many years ago: The How-To’s.    Its part of why I was making bows from whatever was at hand.  Its how I came to start making Kayaks.   It IS STILL very much a part of my daily thinking “How Can I…?” instead of “Can’t do it”.   It’s why I am an asset at the J.O.B.   Why Son of Bossman hands me a list of ‘things to do’ and gets the fuck out of my way,,,   If I have questions arise, I call/text him and we clarify things and back at it.   But for the most part, I am on my own.   Same for the rest of my life,,,, I am IT!!!

I am the solution,

I am the weapon.

I am the reason, the fault, the cause, the screw-up, and the fix.   

And I have thousands of years of expert mentors to draw on, IF I ASK,,,,

and as long as government stays the fuck out of the way,,,,

Stop holding down the inventors, the creators, the COMPETITION that drives the inovations. STOP holding back the conversations that NEED TO TAKE PLACE so that we can reach agreement.  Let the arguments flow so that there is NO dissent, but understanding.    Stop taking the lifeblood of those that produce, so they can produce MORE,,,,

Stop supporting those that only drag us down.

Stop inviting in those that only want a free-ride.

Stop,,,,

just STOP,,,   (I think that last was to m’self,,,,)

Only thing I have to say about it,,,, If I, a veteran, aren’t ‘allowed’ to own a gun, but some jackass that triapsed his/her way across a border without permission is allowed to,,,    WE GOTS A PROBLEM.

Not that them ‘giving me permission’ is even on the table.   I have said and said and said, “I AM THE WEAPON“,,,,   Whats in this cranium has more firepower potential than some mouse gun from Mattel,,,  LOTS more destructive power.    And if they take away one option, they open three others,,,,  

Choose one, you can’t have both,,,  

and make that choice with some forethought,,,, consequences and all,,, seems to me, they hadn’t thought that far ahead yet,  obviously,,,

I think it’s getting more and more apparent that there is going to be catastrophe in our future.  We have an economy that is so diluted as to be worthless, still holding onto its world currency status by the skin of its teeth.  An electorate that is in power by questionable methods, that defends their place by criminalizing anyone in dissent, even needed to corral the Capitol in razor wire for the initial swearing in,,, War breaking out in corners of the world that make 1985 Cold War scenarios look downright tame,,, (we only get better at killing each other.   As Einstein stated when asked how WW3 would be fought: “I don’t know, but WW4 will be fought with sticks and stones,,,,”) 

It’s real easy and tempting to swallow that blackpill these days, and honestly, the only reason I haven’t is a ‘feeling’ I keep picking up.   It hits me at odd times,,, Almost never when I am ‘connected’, usually in the odd moments like at work where the phone is making like an mp3 player, not comms.  Or when its just tracking what I am doing while paddling,,,,   My Zen moments in other words,,,, Those moments, the feeling hits,  I look out towards whatever horizon I have available, and I smile,,,,, I can feel a future, one that is REAL, just waiting out there in time for those of us that BELIEVE in a better world,,, not the figmented derangement “utopian nightmare” of the lefts design, but one where people are really free to BE THEMSELVES, free to speak their minds and not be shouted down, or have their lives ‘canceled’ for ‘wrongthink’.    I don’t worry about all that too much in my world, but I am so small a voice in the void,,,,

But I at least keep showing up, ‘telling my stories’ even if they aren’t much, and getting my mind aired out in a time that doesn’t look kindly on people of my sort.

You can’t have both.  

And they had better choice “RIGHTLY”, or there WILL be fallout,,,,(there is some NOW, expect more and in increasing intensity as time goes by)

On other fronts:  Terrorist attack in Moscow.   I am not going to delve into this much, but I find it most telling that this took place RIGHT AFTER Putin’s re-election.   First thought that went through my head was CIA cooperative with Uke assests,,,  Dunno if that’s the case, but with the way things have been coming out about ‘intel’ manipulations, and the fact that our GOV insists on maintaining cold war apathies,,,,,  Dunno, just some thinks from a little fish in a REALLY BIG ocean.  Actual truth may never come out in our lifetimes, but then, there are many of those, no? 

Some other things I wanted to talk about, but don’t want to dive into right now, as I don’t yet trust what I have picked up: I haven’t verified sources/facts YET,,, But if real, we are probably alot closer to total meltdown of world politcs than most would believe.   

Only one way out,,, through,,,,,   That, and my occasional ‘feelings’ are about the only things keeping me from just walking my ass off the stage and out the back exit of the theater.    (not suicidal,,, just saying going dark gets mighty tempting,,,,)  

So, downer post in a sense, but not, since there are tremors of better forthcoming, I know many that see this, and carry on as if nothing were skewed,,,  heck, I do in some ways myself, but I can’t NOT see it as so many around me do.  Or worse, believe the narrative as if the Gospel from on High,,,,

tomorrow is “church it day”; didn’t get as much done as I should have, (lazy Dio Day,,,,LOL) but what’s remaining is miniscule,,, SO’ssssss       Yup, I get to paddle through the church of my choosing tomorrow,,,

Keep on livin’

Went out to put kibble in Voo’s bowl and

“where’s the kibble?,,,,,   Voo, did you do something with your kibble?”

GONE,  a whole #25 bag of kibble, GONE,,,,

Now, I am not pointing fingers at people here,,, Anyone over 100# is gonna trigger my porch warnings,,,  That includes Humans, Bears, Voodoo (yeah, he’s a big dog,,,,) but not kittums or neighbor dawgs, or ‘yotes,,,,  (or possum, but a possum isn’t gonna take the whole bag with them.)  Yes, I made my porch so it squeaks,,, intentionally,,,(side note: it shows just how far gone voo’s hearing (and mine) is, that I wasn’t given a warning by him.)

Not overly mad about it.  Not the food thing, but that Voo’s food is kinda pricey,,,  and that was a new bag as of Past Sunday,,,  Shoulda gotten another week and a half out of it.

So, my start to the day was to run and get a new bag of kibble for dawgum, and establish a kibble vault that I can secure.    (five gallon bucket that hangs from rafters when access is not needed.  Won’t stop a bear, or human, but my porch will let me know when THOSE are in proximity.)

and its a warning to me, that neighbor Cuz is having an issue feeding his mutts,,,,all 16 of ’em,,,  That’s an issue that may need addressed here shortly,,,,   I hatez to do it, but there may be some cases of high speed lead poisoning taking place here soon,,,,   I’ve been tolerant with the caveat of “so long as they leave the kittehs alone”, and they have been (had all three buzzyfuzzies in the house this AM, so there is that,,,)   BUT, I can’t afford to have them creepin’ around my house, stealing food, in the dead of night: they might start to get cocky about it, and then things will really escalate,,,

It’s not horrid cold out, but it looks HORRID out there.   tis cool enough that the clouds are huggin’ the mountain tops (hills in reality,, but tha’s what they are called here) and the temps are slotted to slide downward forward into the evening,   Tomorrow is looking much nicer with warmer air and clearer skies.   

Why not,, its not like I am cast into a rigid schedule or anything, nor do I have to consider others in my plans to go play, since I solo 99% of the time.   Maybe with clear skies and 60+ degree weather, there will be more boats out tomorrow and the waves will be playable.  

I doubt that would be the case today.   Good fishing weather, but fishing boats don’t make waves unless they are inbetween,,,

Different note.    Went to add to some of my preps and am getting sticker shock:   Antibiotics.    Not just sticker shock either.   More like “product not available”  repeatedly,,,,     And the sticker shock isn’t just ‘today’,,, When I had scrip for K-flex not so long ago, I CHOKED when the pharmacist told me “$89” for a 7 day run of the stuff.    I had K-flex prescibed before a couple years prior (I’m always getting stitches and stuff and they always give me k-flex to prevent the buggies) and it was $14 for the same amount, same make,,,     W?T?F? is going on?   Is this an Inflation thing?   Is this some suppression of market thing? (I can see that, but don’t KNOW.)   Or is this just the fact that everyone is waking up, getting ready and the markets are having a harder time keeping up?  (can see that too, to some extent)   I can’t say this is price gouging as the suppliers I am going through normally carry these items: what worries me is the ‘not available’s,,,, lots of those, across the board,,,  

Times sure ain’t what they used to be: when I was stationed in Sand-Dawg, if I needed a scrip of Amox, or the like, I would grab a cab to TJ, walk into any pharmacia and get a BIG BOTTLE for like $5,,,,  Didn’t matter if it was Amox, Z-pak, K-Flex,,, they had it, no scrip needed and no questions asked.   Much harder to do that jump over the border thing from KY, but I am betting that even those pharmacias are low on product,,,,   Somethings going on in the medical world, and I would bet Big Pharma is pushing buttons.   Can’t prove it, (probably could, but I have better things to do in my life,,,,) but the signs that things ‘aint right’ are all over the place. (side note: I have ZERO insurance, self pay only,,, That has been a boon in the past, starting to be a PITA as time progresses) 

And it could just be good old paranoia kicking it, and this is just related to “flu season is wrapping up” and the products will come back on line soon.  The only thing that makes me doubt that is ‘pricing’,,, those prices are out there!   If they are asking $70-90 for a 30 day supply in bulk, the pharmacy’s are going to jack the price up for a 7 day supply for certain.

Ok, Gotta get some stuff done today so I can play more tomorrow,,, heck, may get enough done today that I can head to the lake later, set up a camp and stay overnight so I can get a sunrise paddle in,,

looking at the weather liars page though,,, probably not.  Supposed to be 31 tonight and its ALWAYS colder nearer the water,,,,  Brrrrrrrrrrr    pass!!!    (I could, HAVE, will again,   but right now, just don’wanna,,,, And thats what it really boils down to, no?   Just don’wanna!   LOL)

BUT

about that ‘extinction level event’,,,  Sure, there are dropping fertility rates across the board of the world,,, I don’t know that this can be attributed to some ‘vaccine’ or not, maybe, but dunno; can’t say certain,,,  BUT really look at the world as it sits right now,,, with the way there are entire populations on the move between points, economies on the verge of implosion, political turmoil in EVERY single western nation and some not so western,,, Heck, seeing turn-arounds in South America gives me goosebumps and warm fuzzies,,,, Ready to see that come to be HERE, Stateside.  Besides the sudden reversal of ideology in some places,   do you REALLY think for a minute that most people have much hope for the future, hope enough to be willing to bring a little into the world with little chance of ‘better than I have’?    No, I don’t think so,,, Yeah, there are those on the dole pumping out cretin after cretin, not giving a damn if their progeny do anything, other than bring in another dollop of allowance from Unca Shugga,,,  (and that goes both white and black,,,, we has our share of both in this area,,,)   If you really think about it, and you shouldn’t even need to break a sweat trying, THAT scenario is EXACTLY what Idiocracy was written around.   

Seriously though, Do you think for one minute that once we hit a lowering number of ‘replacements’ one that seems  destined to become an Extinction level event, that WE, the most tenacious and ruthless Mammal on the face of this rock, is going to let a little thing like dreading the future get in the way of makin’ babies?   I would bet when the collapse happens, that suddenly, ladies in certain circumstances start popping out babbies at close to heel-toe rates.   Just long enough between to get the bodz back in working order and ‘Here comes Jr!’    If things keep going the way they are, those fams are going to need every single hand they can CREATE just to keep things going.   

And BAM!!! right back into pre-industrial rates of birth and things smooth out again,,,(and we have a better understanding of Ob/Gyn protocols to keep the mother/child mortality rates MUCH lower than they were pre-industrial Revolution.)  

I’d like to turn your attention to a species well known here on earth.   It will show you how ‘Mama-Nature’ self corrects in strange ways: Koi.   Koi will grow as large as their environment allows them to.   You have a couple of koi in a 100 gallon tank, they will grow to about the size of you palm, no bigger: doesn’t matter if you overfeed them, underfeed them, that size is determined by the size of where they are.   Toss them (same couple of fish) into a lake, and within a couple of years, the things are FEET in length and 30-40#,,, The environment dictates their growth.   

Here we are, The Human Species,,, edging close to 8 billion peeps running around like Lice on Mama-earths faces.  (the numbers are Completely arguable as Sarah has pointed out repeatedly,,, And I DO subscribe to her thinks that ‘those are bullshit numbers’,,,  but I digress)

That we have hit those numbers, and not hit ‘extinction levels’ of starvation,  even had several Genocides to cull numbers down without putting serious dinks in those numbers. (whats ten million in 3 billion,,, not even a whole percentage point,,,,)  Fact is, 500 million could go missing tomorrow, and as long as the loss is spread out uniformly, not all in one place, The Collective mind wouldn’t notice,,, individually, you may note that ‘Bob didn’t show up this week and isn’t answering his phone,’ but across the board,,, probably not even twitch a paranoid meter anywhere.  

And there is one school of thought that ‘the Rapture’ has already happened and that we are now rolling into the end times.  Mostly because those people ‘called up’ during the rapture wouldn’t be noted in the ‘Grand Scheme’,,,,,   Y’all know my stance on things of that nature, but hey, I can be wrong, probably am, and that the situation sucks ass could be proof that we are, in fact, now living in that purgatory prior to judgement,,,,   Guess theres only one way to know and dunno’bout you, but I am in no real hurry to get THERE,,, Not that the idea scares me, but I ain’t done livin’ yet,,,,(that same school of thought claims that our declining fertility rates are ‘proof’ that such is the case,,,   That seems like a cop-out to me, especially when there are so many other factors that can be applied much easier and would be provable, where the other is Unarguable Negative: you can’t disprove it, nor can you prove it,   Like that chocolate cake that is circling in Saturns rings.  Prove to me that it doesn’t exist,,,,,

Yes, there are things that need taken on faith, proofs not needed, and likely to be rejected out of hand,,, Like our species having this indominatible will to survive.    I have to take that on faith when I see so much homosexual proclivity becoming ‘normalized’,,,, that is a dead in road in evolution,,,,   I have to have faith that those that ‘seemingly’ beleive that men can HAVE babies are NOT the future of the Human race, that they are part of that side that is ‘going to go extinct’, but not the human race as a whole, just the dumb, wacky, half-baked, kooky, zany, dumb, moronic, absurd, asinine, brainless, crazy, daffy, dotty, feebleminded, half-witted, harebrained, idiotic, ill-advised, irrational, jerky, loony, ludicrous, lunatic, mad, mindless, nonsensical, nutty, ridiculous, senseless, silly, stupid, unintelligent, unwise, doltish, cockamamy dunderheads that make up the foundation of whats killing this current world.

That things are tough, looking to intensely so with a quickness, I am still recieving good vibes from my future self.   Either I haven’t much longer on this plane and won’t have to suffer through, or this shit is gonna get real heavy, real fast and wrap up just as fast,,,   No way to know for certain, but I can’t deny what I am feeling, and that it is VERY REAL,,, not just some delusional feelz from desperation.   I can tell how real it is, when I stay away from the mainstream feeds of any sort,  If I am reading actual human beings doing decentralized reporting things (bloggers n such) I don’t get the nasty vibes that I was getting earlier this week.  Doesn’t matter what the content is,,, Could be Negative reporting like TL’s latest about calling out that 2AM spending bill that is getting pushed along.  It could be that whole 20k troops that Napoleon Macron, micro, mariçon whatevers wants to send into the Russian Meatgrinder called Ukraine.   Doesn’t matter, so long as its NOT the Mainstream shit.  I swear there is some subliminal messaging running layers deep in those projections, and one I seem highly sensitive to.  (they do call it ‘programming’ for a reason,,,,,)

All the crud fighting I have been doing has my immune system on HIGH ALERT,,,  Not normally an issue, but,,,,,,

Ever since Kuwait (91-92) I have this occasional issue with a rash.   It attacks scar tissue first then spreads about to every exposed part of me,  Exposed as any part of me that sees sunlight,,,,   Always hits me in the spring time, IF its going to hit me at all.    In 98 I was frustrated by it so severely,,,, really bad year that year, the immune system started attacking everything, even went 3 months with no voice because my larnyx was paralyzed due to drainage from my sinuses that was part of the ‘reaction’: I went to a Skin Specialist (I had GOOD insurance then,,,)   Found out my body was acting like it was allergic to melanine,,,,  you know, that stuff that makes you tan,,,,   Silly White-boy, thinks he can get dark skin,,, Bwahahahaha,,,, lets show HIM,,,,,

Well, its back,, not much,,,, just the backs of my hands and the ridge of my schnoz,,,,   BUT DAMN,,, this shit ITCHESSSSSSSS     

And amazingly, there is an over the counter that works to ease it down until my system equalizes.    Abreva, the stuff for cold sores,,, its a topical steroid, low enough levels that its not on a controlled substance list, and,,,,,

IT WORKS.    Just takes a day or two before the itch subsides, but not MONTHS like it was in 98,,,,,   

So what initially brought it on,,,, I think it was that damned shot that we were all subjected to on the way to Kuwait,,,, Supposedly to ease the symptoms if we were hit with Nerve agents,,,  We weren’t, but we had to get that shot, and when you are bonded to Uncle Sam by the hip, you kinda have to ‘go along’ or suffer,,,,    You may have heard of “Gulf War Syndrome”,,, I think this is part of that,,, Lots of guys picked up weird issues after that shot, none seem linked in any way, but,,,,,   Conspiracy?  maybe,,, but then the way Conspiracy keeps becoming ‘fact’ on such short time spans these days,,, maybe this one is a fact but so far behind in history that no one cares anymore (except those of us with said issues,,, like becoming allergic to melanine,,, WTF?,,,,)
