more than a little of both I’d say. I have a vested interest in getting this property full on legal eagle, all dotted ‘eyes’ and crossed ‘tees’, but there is some physical investment going on in the meanwhile.
The war on Weeds side of things. Funny day: had to go get the old Yard Tractor ‘Beasty’ to do vehicle recovery on ‘Ol Judy’ the mower. Went over a hump and high centered both times, and needed Beasty to pull out the mower. After round two, I decided that coming in with line trimmer first to knock shit down might be the better choice. I can’t see the bumps and holes for all the weed.
I know what is there, just not the details of high/low. There be Garden space.
and with the world at large getting friskier by the day, that ‘potential’ is alluring, worth investing in.
And if for whatever reasons, the paperwork collapses, I’m out time, but not a lot of money. I can kill that electric overhead with a quickness (and the mains are still off, though I would be on the hook for the deposit still.) and I have not transfered the H2O side yet.
And if it all falls through, fall back and punt, get a surveyor out here to locate to the Nth degree the agreed upon property lines, and battle it out in court.
I don’t see that last coming to be. But my brainium regularly seeks worst case scenario: optimistic pessimist I be! Or is that Pessimistic optimist?
Frugal Squirrel! yah, that sounds better: friendlier and fuzzier too.
Heat’s still with us today, but not near the torture it has been the last three days. Humid mostly, little breeze, and that makes for misery. But no reason to not push forward. Otherwise I sit, do nothing and thats a bigger waste of time. But we are at the hottest part of the day and I am sitting under a fan, but not doing nothing. I’m typing, for you, my readers, something, even if not something relevant to the world at large.
So let me stray a bit and toss an idea that has been on my three brain cells. That ‘barn Idea’. One of my biggest beefs with Unks trailer (besides the Flea infestation) is HEAT. Without the AC running 24/7, that place is a sweatbox. Were I to build a barn there, I’m thinking extending the roofing out over the trailer (tying into for structural support) as added barrier to solar infusion. Closable venting at the peak of the barn would allow heat out in summer, keep it in (somewhat) during winter.
Just a thought. No solid plans as yet: no deed work in hand to verify my vested interest. YET. soon
More tomorrow or on Socialists day.
