2 outta 3 ain’t bad.

Two deliveries from the Zon, and one from the bank. Got the banking card again, its now activated and tomorrow I can make a daggum deposit to aleviate the near empty accounts.

The Zon thing though,,, sigh. Carb is fine. Mower deck parts, not so much. Gotta return order in process.

You can see the problem. Pulley hieght is fine, Fitment to the deck is fine for the spindle housing

The depth of the spindle reach is all wrong. Blades sat just below the deck body, exposed. Dangerous, and counter productive to discharging the chopped up weeds. I didn’t even try. I did enough fitment to see that ‘no, this ain’t gonna do it’. And I only pulled the one spindle from the box; everything else is still taped up or shrink wrapped. And now, that spindle is back in box and taped up as well. Ready to go back as soon as I print the return label and drop off with UPS.

I did find the right set of spindles, and roughly the same price, but I have to return the one and get the refund before I make the buy on the correct units. More time down. Is wut it is.

So, the war on weeds is at a stalemate right now. I have enough small mower to keep things from getting to far gone, but I’ll do it in waves, as I don’t wanna spend more than an hour a night mowing. (seriously, I spent all day at work, and coming home to work more? Yah, I’ll do it, but its getting rationed around!)

patience grasshopper, it’ll work out. A little here, a little there and suddenly big things have changed. Just like eating an elephant: one bite at a time.
