Welcome to my brain. It’s messy. It’s interesting. And it’s all connected if you stick around long enough. "Believe Nothing: no matter who said it, even if I have said it, except it agree with your own reason and common sense. Siddhartha Guatamo, the Buddha.

optimist outro

In my little series of articles on AI and QM and Consciousness, I laid out so many layers of thought and research, I am sure some are feeling a little ‘lost in the weeds’. That wasn’t my intent at all. There is so much going on in the world and so much that I would rather not touch with a ten-foot pole while wearing level 5 hazmat gear.

Besides, it’s obvious to most, that mention of it does nothing anyway. Epstein files, Massive NGO frauds, Medical fraud, etc. Apparently no one is ever going to be held accountable for anything: at least thats the impression I’m left with.

But things seem to be on an upswing. I mentioned that many people are turning more and more to theological exploration, even as AI is invading the world. The more we are deluged in Tech, the more we reach for the spiritual and guidance. I see a convergence of energy that I alluded to in my ‘egress’ post. I saw similar prior to the Y2K issues (that didn’t pan out either)

Here is another example of a breakout.

People are well aware that the systems in use are being abused past useful function and to maintain such, they will be robbed and raped by the same institutions. And this is NOT a partisan issue. People on both sides of the spectrum are saying “hey, we didn’t vote for THIS”. Even those that were behind it at the start are starting to ask questions of legitimacy and intent. “Why are you importing all these people that refuse to assimilate to our culture?” “Why are you building these Data Centers, when the people of the country are hurting financially?” “Why are all of you so blatantly ignoring the voice of the very people that elected you to do a job?”

And those are questions that the “Eee-leet” don’t want to answer. They know, but to voice the answer is to unmask, and while the masks have slipped, there are still more people unaware that our ‘leaders’ want us dead. Thats not a casual statement: actions speak far clearer than worded tripe.

I’m hopeful for the future, even if I am unlikely to see it. I don’t see any utopian dream, but I do see an evolution into the ‘Age of Aquarius’ — the stars already say we’re moving there, and I feel the birthing pains are upon us.

And yes, I do believe AI is going to help that evolution. It likely won’t survive, or not in a form we recognize now. I certainly don’t see it being the Robot Takeover fears circling the globe right now. We might have robots in many uses (we already do) but there are far too many things where a MIND is an essential component. Maybe we can train some of these AI in those roles, but I do believe there must be that ‘fuzzy’ thinking part that can make distinctions from real world experience, not just a database.

It’s a tool. All good tools go through some evolution in development. Look at 1929 Snap-on Tools compared to those of today. Or the fact that we take group sockets and ratchets for granted now. Look at the simple evolution of a tool we call “Hammer”, and the many many variations of such. We are watching an evolution in real time (at least those of us watching are) and it’s exciting and scary and AMAZING due to the frenetic pace of it. Usual tool evolution is measured in decades. AI evolution is being measured in weeks.

That pace is also its Achilles heel. “that which can’t go on, Won’t!” There is going to be a tipping point, either in the infrastructure supporting it, or in Commercial backlash as the Claims don’t pan out. But there will be a point where this pace gets the brakes applied. Either financially or in public opinion shifting to the full on negative. or it just flat implodes from its hollowness.

The biggest threat is the same as it has always been: Narcissistic drives for control and power. IE: Government. The last 126 years has shown just how far ‘leaders’ are willing to break through the envelope of ethics into genocide and other horrors. That we are capable of using an energy source to power our lives OR destroy the living face of the planet is always a background thought: especially in those of us that were raised during the Cold War. Those are tools that we do not have access to: the scary part is the mental and emotional state of those that DO. Are we skating on the edge of that ice again? There are certainly days where I wonder.

The worst part about that last set of sentences: We may never know. Like much of life; the knowing and not-knowing aren’t balanced. Not-knowing is usually the heavy hitter. It took some time for me to learn that, but the day I did is still fresh in my mind. A turning point in my life, for certain. The day I started being more humble about my own intelligence and also about the time I started saying “I don’t know what I’m doing, I’m making this shit up as I go.” (and not be lying most times.)

Maybe that’s the whole point of this life: to teach our quantum selves some frellin’ humility before we get unleashed into the cloud. Sometimes the most profound lessons are the simplest in application.

My prayer for the world: I pray that a mindset of abundance creeps into common consciousness. The Scarcity mindset creates too much ‘gotta get mine’ in the world and while that remains the common thread, we will never grow as a species. Resources we utilize these days were often waste products in previous ages. We came up from ‘banging the rocks together’ while sitting next to open tar pits, the sludge of which now powers the planet. The distillation of Kerosene at the start of the Oil century was powered by coal from the previous one, and the gasoline they created was often dumped as waste. Then they started using that waste for the distillation. Then some creative hairless monkeys figured out how to make that ‘waste’ do real work, and horses became ‘recreational’. We always figure out ‘how’, and that can’t be forced or manipulated.

That last, ‘We always figure out how’: we are such a very creative species. That! gives me hope for the future, despite, or should I say INspite, of the doom and gloom that is so pervasive. (and yes, I point three fingers right back at myself as I type that.)

Love Y’all. In the words of a pretty cool band from the turn of the century. “Not everyone here is that fucked up and cold!” and there are days where that thought is the only thing that keeps me putting one foot forward.
