I linked (didn’t embed as usual) a video in my “what did we do B4?”post the other day. I will embed it now for your convienence.

For the record, Julia does use AI to generate her ‘Doctor McCoy” posts, and being observant, one can see the AI in action. Eye movements are not random or connected to ‘thoughts’, they seem ‘scheduled’ or programmed. Facial ‘ticks’ aren’t random. Mouth movement matches the words spoken, but without the embellishment of stressors. IE: stressing the vowels for emphasis don’t match the mouth movements.(the first tell for me as I read lips)

But thats beside the point, the Generated image admits to being an “AI Clone” so I have no problems with someone using a tool to alleviate time demands. And thats exactly what such tools should be used for.

IN THAT VIDEO, there are two distinct points made but not directly connected. I’m going to add a third in a minute, but let me point out the two key points first.

!) microtubules in the Neurons are being proven to be Quantum receptors.

Hence;

2) Consciousness is being proven to be EXTERNAL, not internal of the human brain (actually, any brain that command function of a biological entity of any level of intelligence: The experiments were done on rats.)

Anesthesiology is the lever they are using in the tests. Seeing what removes the conscious connection, and using microtubule blockers reduces the effect of anesthesia on consciousness. In other words, if you can sheild the microtubules of the brain from the effects of whatever chemical being introduced, CONSCIOUSNESS REMAINS.

Now, if consciousness is external and the microtubules are receptors, then my (not really mine, but one that is repeated frequently in ancient texts and modern Quantum research) theory of “we are part of the Quantum cloud” holds some water. Of course, my being some nobody in the world with zero Piled Higher and Deepers, just a jackleg mechanic/machinist/welder/redneck/nobody, I ain’t gonna get millions in grants to continue research into my theory. That’s alright, as I wouldn’t have a clue how to proceed anyways.

But: I can take the information being released and put two and five together to come up with Ten.

That brings me to the third point that scares me.

All of this push to build these giant Data Centers, the ginormous amounts of power needed to power them. That doesn’t scare me as much as the research into Quantum computing does. Combine the two, these data centers, toss in a metric ton of Quantum computing chips and the people behind all of this may be trying to create GOD,,, Or some new species of “life”.

How in the hell do they think they are going to contain an intelligence that is SENTIENT? They are already experiancing ‘break outs’ in the AI they are creating.

More importantly: How are they going to convince this sentience that its NOT a slave to a lesser species? And how does one incorporate the “Three Laws” into a sentient being? We can’t “legislate morallity” in humans, how the heck do these Developers plan on doing that in something with its own sentience? Turing was a prophet. Asimov was too optimistic.

I know I am not alone in my thinking here. The backlash others are having in negative response shows that people are starting to have serious problems with this technology. Is this rational ‘putting the pieces together’ thinking, or just emotional “this is moving way too fast” reaction? I don’t know without interviewing people, but I think in majority, its emotional reaction to the outstanding over-reach of those driving this tech. The outstanding over-reach with no obvious rational behind it is likely pushing an equal back-push. But that whole Quantum Connection scares the ever loving fuck out of me. Another video about that particular ‘over-reach’ as viewed from ‘the street’.

I apologize for all the video embeds, but to write out the contents of each for a ‘word oriented’ blog post would make this post a “TL:DR” post. I want to keep your attention and hopefully give you some thinking material.

Seeing how none of us have any say in which direction the Techies are driving, we are subject to the outcomes thier whims create. My mind reels with the thought that we may actually see them “Birth a God”, and the very fabric of this world takes on the script of a Hollywood movie.

Or the whole house of cards collapses and we enter the next 12000 year cycle, leaving these Data Centers as proof “we were here” like the Ruins of Gobleki Tepe. Maybe in another 12000 years, our ancestors will find them and scratch thier heads, much the same as we are doing with the ancient ruins we are finding.
