What did we do b4?

WoW!! talk about an inadvertent Writing prompt! Commentor Honestly asked that question in comments and I had to think about it for a minute. Yeah, honestly had to think about because in reality, my reality now is little different than 30 years ago. More of, but similar trajectory.

I used to be THE bookworm, days spent in libraries chasing down rabbit holes, ordering phamplets and books from other libraries due to the fact the library I was in didn’t have the on hand. Or digging through mircofiche files (remember those? LOL We’ve come a long way baby!)

Years,,, Spent in Amatuer Comparitive Religious studies because I had “Questions”, and the answers the clerics and priests gave me seemed ‘boiler plate’ answers. No real thought behind them and non-answers in most cases.

Then along comes the internet,,, SOme would say its the “Tree of Knowledge”, but I disagree. IMO, its merely a portal to piles and piles of debris that one needs to pick through. Most of it is literal garbage, re-hashes of old theories that were debunked centuries ago.

But one area keeps coming back to the surface again and again. Religion and ancient knowledge. Things Like Hermeticism. If you have ever read the Kybalon, you’ll know how vague and irrititating its words can be, especially in a world were 99.9999% of people want an straight forward answer/direction. Not riddles and esoteric ambiguitiies.

The last few years, my dives (and some quite deep) into Gnosis, Hermeticism, Hindi, Buhhdism, Quantum research, Consciousness and Anesthesiology (they are related,,,) and even (though not personally, yet) DMT and other Psychodelics,

Ain’t none of this REAL. And why we are experiencing such insanity in the world has everything to do with the fact that we are all tied together in the quantum cloud and NO DIRECTIONS with such a plethora of information in this ‘simulation’.

So if you look at all of this information as ‘The Tree of Knowledge”, yes, the warning giving in Genesis 2:16 makes complete sense.(follow along, things get even wyrder yet,,,)

Then there is the quote of “The deeper you look, the more you will find me” (sorry, don’t recall the scripture)

The question then becomes, at least in my little reality within this simulation, “WHO?” This is the same question that divided the early Christians and Gnostics. The Old testament provided all the evidence for BOTH sides, and the old Testament was written by Judeo scholars (or transcribed being the better term as the original texts were written from verbose language passed down over milennia.) The Christians say “God” “Yahweh” etc. The Gnostics say this world (simulation) is the creation of an abortion called the Demi-Urge and the whole of creation is from the ALL. (and I have totally distilled tons of information into a small sentence,,, its much more complicated than that.) The Gnostics even use the Temptations of Christ as evidence of the Demi-urge being the creator of this world within creation at large: the “I will give you the world if you bow to me” line was thier stronger argument.

And even Christ himself said he did not come to build a religion, but to tear one down. His quoted words “I come with Flame and sword”,,, His actions when he entered the city, destroying the moneychangers tables and kicking the sellers out of the temple were not the actions of a Pastor, but the actions of a revolutionary making changes. His words of “the Kingdom is inside you” were the basis for the Gnostic searches.

And so much of the New Testament, the parables, the teachings, the ‘time bombs’ of thought,,, So much like many of the teachings of Hinduism/Buddhism, even Hermeticism. And ALL of those are counter to most of the teachings in the Old Testament, with its continual contradictions of a “Almighty Father” figure that bears more resemblances to a Jealous drunken Narcissist than an omnipotent omni-prescent Creator..

Look at me,,, dropping the whole premise oof the title and getting into a running monologue again,,,,

What did we do before all of these little black boxes of spying and brainwashing algorthms came to be ‘our world’?

We lived, we loved, we hated, we went our ways with something that seems lost in this modern world. We tried to make the world into something better for our kids: And thats the whole point, we try to make things better, and has been the whole point from the time we climbed out of the trees. Where did that go wrong? At what point did we lose sight of the goal post? Or did we? Did we get handed a promise with ill intent buried inside? Did the ones handing us that promise KNOW of the misdirection, or is this something manifest by the duality of life?
