Four of the other Emps no-showed. Two, had reason (funeral) the other two,,, who frellin’ knows,,,, Not I said the fly

but, long day, 99% of a job completed, Client understands reason behind not completed (Green concrete) but at a point where I can follow up in short order.

WHEN becomes the operative word and I don’t have any say in that facet. Fact: I’m sitting on THREE jobs in need of completion and I continue getting sent out to pull others out of the fire.

jump forward in time,,, 2015ish,,, (truly, 2008 with Cash for Clunkers) And it ain’t so secure now is it?

Not gonna give more than a moment on that note,, just a reflection of ‘what was, what is’…. My current ‘thing’ is sorta self created. was hired as a welder,,, That isn’t my main hat these days,,, One of, not the only. And I am very much a required peice of equipment in the day to day of that company. I DO try to get the other crew leads to learn a thing or two , but dangit,,, THEY don’t wanna!!! “No Dio,,, no one can do this like you do!”

Of course they can’t when they start the day with “I CAN’T DO,,,,” That four letter word is dirtier than the word FUCK In my humble opinion. I fight with myself DAILY and it always boils down to catching myself saying ‘I Can’t,,,”

When I catch myself saying that, I FORCE the issue and reframe the point: “How can I?”

And thats one point in AI’s favor. AI is a tool, especially the LLM’s. Those are geared for such as myself, a jackleg wordsmith. There are times where I write a couple hundred words and ‘urk, grrk,, um,,, what was that supposed to mean?’ and I will copy and paste it into an LLM and say “HEP!” I’m a tool user, LLM’s are tools,,,,

The results are usually damned GOOD!!! And I even asked one once, “How do I emulate what you just did?” and it even coached me on how to write better. Don’t give it all away, make the feels the center, not the logic,,, And I’m paraphrasing some of it.

WE don’t know whare this is going, but one thing I can promise you, like the guest in that clip, I WILL be the writer behind the words on these screens. I may ask for help cleaning up a deluge of mind-dump: but after all of that THE WORDS ARE MINE.

hell, most “PRO” writers get assistance from editors several times before final draft. Tha’s all I am using the AI for (and some really pathetically boring Admin shit thats backed up for YEARS here in the shop)

Have you ever been able to spot where MY WORDS stop, and the AI edited stuff began? And There have been a couple points in the last few months where AI did re-write my prose,,, But did you ever catch it?
