Welcome to my brain. It’s messy. It’s interesting. And it’s all connected if you stick around long enough. "Believe Nothing: no matter who said it, even if I have said it, except it agree with your own reason and common sense. Siddhartha Guatamo, the Buddha.

Home day.

Little to nada at J.O.B. self and Son Of agreed one off ain’t gonna kill me,

And its K-k-k-koldd out

day at home in front of fire with kitteh draped lap sounds just fine!!!

$o there$ little to no income$ today concern$ me only $lightly,,,, 😜

with the hours I have and potential tomorrow in weekrollout, I will be fine. Payin’ bills (one this week definite, 2 if ‘enough’ ) tha’s me life for a time.

Bloo is parked for now. Hadn’t said nuthin about it bcuz other stuff seemed needed said. Her oil pressure started acting real funny after I hit a pothole. Something came loose or moved or sumpin. Oil sump, oil pump are the suspects; but until I can drop the oil and get a b-scope in there to look, SHE SITS. No way in hell am I gonna blow up all the work I have done.

Buffalo is earning her nick name of “Old Reliable”. Won’t go into all the thinks, positive and negative, I’ve had around Bloo of late: Im sure with a little imagination, you’d be able to come up with some close approximations of them. Expletives Deleted’s included,,,,

yet! I did figure where some of my anxiety around her stems. Its all this financial hoopla flying around. Watching Markets bubble and burble like some witches brew of the Alpacca-lypse, sub-concsiously, is spurring my “she needs completed ASAP” AND I stop thinking and start reacting,,,entirely the WRONG approach, and I know it. Thats why, this time around, I parked her, and ignored her for one full day. Give the hind brain a moment to consider ‘what if’s” and seek ‘simplest, and what have I messed with recent that could,,,’. Gave me a moment to ask for other persons inputs, think about things, RELAX in the ‘knowing’ that “its winter, aint a thing moving fast” and respond, not react.

so what could it be? Oilsump is a press fit, no bolts, screws, pins or setscrews. Its mounted offside, but forward of the pump on a long arm. Unlikely, but not impossible, it could have levered upwards, away from the bottom of the pan, when I impacted that pothole (and I did hit it hard!!!). Another option. Oil pump is held on by one bolt and an alignment pin. I may have failed to torque that bolt properly, and the pump may have walked loose, allowing oil to escape. The pothole hit may have exaggerated this by vibrating that bolt even more. It all started right then: oil pressure up-down or non-existent at times. And WHY I parked ASAP.

but, little need for her at this stage; too kold out and I’m not so swamped in work that she is critical. And Buffalo is so damned reliable, even needing work herself.

That there 1 retaining bolt on the pump itself just hit me a bit ago. Wuz tied up trying to diagnose a possible failure of an external HDD, and just got a minute while scanning it. So yeah – might have shocked it a bit loose. Might not be the pickup tube at all.

Mike , you neglected to say , just how gloriously warm it got yesterday ! Today , not so much, as this next cold front moves through….

Dio , hell a big shock might even have dislodged another big glob of goo…if it were I , might be wise to just not mention any possibility of error on your part. Advertising possible brain failure on your part not so much lol.

    • I admit my F!ups. Makes life a lot more tolerable than ‘I’m always right and perfect’ attitudes some ascribe to.not say you or any one in particular, but I see it so often around here and it drives me ape shit. Admit the wrong, makeamends, Move on. Dont shift the blame. I think narcisistic attitude of “im perfect” is large part of why we are where we are. (See it in trumped as well, who I know you are no fan of. But if he is, and it looks like is true, apart of that whole Epstein fiasco, OWN IT, beg forgiveness, live with the fallout, MOVE ON. Won’t happen though,,, never does.)_
