Insomnia

Not bad, didn’t spend ALL night staring at the ceiling,,,,  

But was up frequently enough I feel like I  may as well had been staring at the ceiling.

Warm weather and the buzzy fuzzy ‘put da to bed’ partner I usually have was UA,,,   Out kattin’round looking for some trim,,,,    That wasn’t all of it, but that certainly didn’t help.  Something about that fuzzbutt laying there next to me buzzin like a cummins diesel knocks me straight the F out,,,,

couple of wyrd dreams those few times I was engaged with the insides of my eyelids,,,,  Didn’t help none either.

So, I am up too danged early, and digging around stuff.

and thinking about that substack thing again.    That they offer the ‘no paid subscription thing’ while still having a paid subscription service, and zero regulation of content (well, they ALL regulate content to some extent if you REALLY tread across certain lines)

Dunno.   WordPress has been getting really flaky lately in its updates, also bogs the shit out of my Mac when I am on the cloud version.  I always get the “this site is using a substantial proportion of memory, closing it will help speed up your computer”   Sorry, no, been down that road, I close the site and lose tens of thousands of words to ‘oops, did I do that”,,,,    The only ways I can work in WP effectively is via app, which means I have no page or site control, through MarsEdit, which only does the posts as well, or through the webpage (site control/content control) and bog the shit out of my laptop and make it feel like its in meltdown.  Macky gets HOT when I am on WPAdmin.

And I know more than a few of you have had log-in issues with comments.   I’ve tried to clean things up on my end as much as I can while still holding to the ‘first comment is moderated’ security profile.   I have to do that or things get quite strange in comments: Trust me, you haven’t seen the spam que,,,,  I approach it with level4 Hazmat gear on,,,,

Anywhoos, Thinking about switching over, OR seeing if I can find a private server and get my own domain name through WP (and not surrender my left testicle in the process) and I am balancing on a fine edge of ‘how much is it worth TO ME/ how much will it pay for itself’.    Right now,,,   Worth it to me is the winner, cuz this ain’t payin’ much at all (no Mike, you don’t need to support my writing habit: very appreciated , but so far ‘you’re it’, is the fact,,,)

It’s early, my brain is still a wee foggy from lack of, and three cuppa’s in ain’t helpin, YET,,, (when it does, the world goes fuzzy from my eyeballs vibrating in  thier sockets.)
