Totally!Worth!It!

Ain’t whupped, but Ain’t far from it either. Last half was into wind (and you can see I slowed down after the turnaround.
And there was a cool as shit fam using my (like I flipping own it) bay as a port for their house boat (big monster, 44′ long) that handed me a beer as I pulled to shore. Not crap beer either but Sonders Oktoberfest,,, Mmmmmmm. That went down smooth after 7 1/2miles of paddling,,,,,
Waves were ‘meh’,,, Enough that my flat water anxiety was getting tapped, but not woke up. Wind swells/chop made up for lack of boat action. Much less in waves, and I’d have been making diamonds from dingleberries,,,
Now, its time to visit my brudda from anudda mudda, and God-son, Mama (not mamakat, but B’s Serious Other,,,) amd do some work,,, sorta,,,,

Just curious, why do you tend to hug the coastline? To make the route longer? Or is there a safety reason?
