Chili post
Sorry, no pics,,,
Just a quickie pot, not my usual 2 gallon pot for a month of beans and burn,,,
But I did something someone suggested and added a cup of black coffee,,,,,
Hot DAMN thats good chili!!!!
And now I have a capzacin and caffeine high, achies and painies are at bay for a time, and I dread the ‘morning after’ movements, but Hot DAMN that’s good chili!!!
And I have a quart for tomorrow in the vacuum container, stewing for even MORE burn and burst of caffeine.(its ALWAYS better after a day of stewing in its own juices,,,,)
nothing new under the sun today (is there really ever ANYTHING new under the sun?) and my initial post I started has died the ‘meh’ death because I lost the thread that started it. Didn’t delete it since I had fun manipulating the opening paragraph, but it won’t be up today, maybe not for a week or more (where the hell did that thread disappear too?!?!?!)
And it didn’t have (very) much to do with the world at large, just some thoughts on aging and what was and is no longer,,,, And NOT a whine about how getting old isn’t for pussies.
more on that as I get it back under my thumb.
Built the monster gate today. Went together quite smoothly, but we still don’t have it in its cradle. And now the beast weighs near a ton and still needs to be man-handled to its spot. At least that is measured in feet now, not miles.

Gotta pay attention to Mama Kat! In my case, it’s my (now) 12 week old furrie. He’s in his favorite spot as I type around him – in dad’s lap. Dam sure keepin dad on his toes, he is!
“nothing new under the sun today” – or any other day. When it comes down to it, all this BS today has been done before, at least in some fashion. Some things worked, some didn’t. Looks to me like right now we’re in the “didn’t” stage! Surely doesn’t do much to ease the 2 working brain cells, do it? Ah well, ’nuff said.

Strong black coffee,,, A little caffeine seems to add to the kick,,,
I also toss in honey or molasses(sometimes both) to slow the burn down: I call it the creeping furnace chili. Doesn’t take the burn out, it just slows it down so it hits you after you swallow. Really helps clear sinus passages.
