Welcome to my brain. It’s messy. It’s interesting. And it’s all connected if you stick around long enough. "Believe Nothing: no matter who said it, even if I have said it, except it agree with your own reason and common sense. Siddhartha Guatamo, the Buddha.

Money day, not a paddle day,,,

Spent WAY too much money today. But it was all needed, some immediately, some that had been put off and put off,

Dawgum door. $75 Install, free if my time is worth nothing,,, BUT I do pay myself so there is that,,,(but I’m a frillin’ slave driver that doesn’t pay much,,,) And Voo was so damned pleased with himself for figuring it out,,,, I walked him inside, and shut the door while I was still outside: 30 seconds later, here comes the Voo and looking quite pleased with the ‘can’t shut me inside anymore’ face,,,, Dumb bunny still pushes the door open if its cracked, but come winter that will change.

But that wasn’t all the money that changed hands today….

Two 100watt solar panels. Monocrystal types, higher amps than the poly type. a c-note each. Saved $60 as the manager was WAY FRICKIN’ COOL and let me use a non-existent ‘rain check’ since the sale on them ended two days ago. Install also free.

and good timing too. I had thought I was having a battery problem, but that wasn’t it. I found that the frame the panels are mounted on, had slipped down the pole a tad and the top of the pole was pushing through a back cover, shorting out half of my main panel (48v200watt monster) straight to ground so I was only getting half of the juice. I adjusted the frame to sit right, repaired the cover plate that was mangled by the pole and now seals tight again, and put things back together. So new panels flying high, older panels that sucked are set aside until I figure something for them (four panels only achieved 100 watts total,) I ran the new panels in series to get the voltage up. The charge controller can handle up to 56v and 50A: it regulates the voltage ‘down’ to the battery bank level and that brings my amperage UP, and amps are what actually charge the batteries. I am pushing 600watts now, and the battery bank is recovering nicely.

as for the morning post, haven’t seen or heard a peep from over there since rolling out this mornin’. Confronted the perp, and of course they denied everything: I expected nothing less. Don’t really care, it was petty theft at best but that it happened at all,,,, I am locking the house, shed, and truck up now. It took me two hours to find the flippin’ house keys and make sure they worked on both doors. The last time these doors were locked was when I installed them and that was in 2015,,, only over the last year have things ‘gone missing’ and the only new people in this hollar are cuz n GF: I don’t believe in co-inky-dinks,,, Little shit coming up missing outside, Ok, My bad, it was out loose. Someone coming into my house uninvited while I am not home,,, PROBLEM. Spare key is being given to Unk since he is my ‘kat-sitter’ when I do need to be away over weekends or out of town.

Ok, the furballs have returned home for the eve, demaning ‘Tentions, food, and head skritches,,,, No time for keyboarding Talk atcha’all tomorrow.

Dam shame ya hadda go to that trouble to start with. Shouldn’ta happened at all. Unfortunately, BTDT – had my bestest childhood friend that I grew up with steal $$ from me when Junior & Mama were still in the hospital right after he was hatched. Found out a few days later when I went to get those same $$ to pay for some fuel oil for the heater (in February, 1974 – twas a bit nipple-y then). Needless to say, ran his worthless ass off and he ain’t even been back in the dam yard since (still claimed he didn’t do it years later – twas STILL BS!). Didn’t leave him much room to doubt what would happen if’n he did.

Anywhooo, hope all works out well fer ya! Hate to see ya had to go to all that expense, though. Worthless assholes abound all over!

    Y’all take care,
