not ignoring it all
I may not be talking about things around the globe; don’t see much need, but I am keeping an eye on things. I don’t see much need to talk about those things since there are so many others that have it well in hand.
what I AM DOING is keeping notes,,,, and keeping my sights on more local things, things I may be able to have an effect on when the time comes. I can’t control world events, and I am not going to frustrate myself into a psychosis trying,,, Depression is prevalant enough in my little world, I feel no need to feed that beast. BUT I watch things, like those little vids that BCE posted of modified weapons and toys to create something the designers of each never ever considered,,, Gee, seems right up there with the plot engine I wrote a book around, no? Take item A, morph this from item B into it, apply controls from item C and you end up with some new and fun ‘toy’ that redefines the battle space of current time and place.
since the 70’s, large military has been getting its butt handed to them by such and the term carries a name in that theater: They’re called “technicals”, and its a broadbrush term. Take the rocket launcher from some downed helo, bolt it to the back of a toyota pickup truck and you have a fast mover with a ton of firepower. It may not be the most survivable peice of gear on the ground, but its gonna inflict a shit ton of damage before it gets incapacitated.
Or these drones,,,, If you haven’t read my book “Wings” but are paying attention to how these ‘Toys” are being modified to carry cargo, or the cargo is being modified to be able to be carried, You are only JUST NOW seeing what the capabilities are. Below is a vid of fun and games, but think of its implications.
just to start the brain churning. You need 3 channels for basic flight: throttle, elevator, rudder. Most glider/sailplanes use only the last two and are capable of staying aloft as long as the ‘pilot’ can maintain it. BUT, most controllers now carry 10 or more channels (RC Helos take a lot of channels. Most drones only use four.) You can add a lot of fun and games with those extra channels. Then you start tossing in video feeds (the cameras are stoopid cheap these days, the transmitters not much more. The Receiver/viewer is what costs, but wont be detroyed if/when,,,) and you have a base model for doing all sorts of krazzee. And it doesn’t have to be airborn either. Boats, small submarines, cars and trucks (some of which are capable of 100mph or more and I am not talking ‘scale’, actual 100+mph movement.)
Remote operated warfare is not a fad, its a fact now.
We’re Ameri-CANS, and most of the stuff being deployed was created in the US, copied by many and evolving much faster now with internet access, Utoob video sharing, and the “what if I,,,,” explorations,,,, My little book barely touched on what can be done,,,
I say again, remote warfare is NOT a fad, its fact: might want to get your head around that, and plan accordingly.

Appreciate ya man! Hope all is well. hotternballz here currently.
