That was impromptu, but nice
Day was shorter than I prefer, but the weather was such that I took Lyssa to Cannon Creek afterwards. Not too hot, not too windy, occasional drifting showers,,,
AND NO PUNKS AT THE RAMP (school started this week and the usual suspects are not available for trouble at the time I went.)
Didn’t do much, but I pushed her(read: My) limits and was able to get and hold 5.3 for a few minutes. Arms are complaining a wee bit, but the abs and shoulders are crying for more. Tells me I need to work on my form more: still relying on those arms too much.

Too be completely honest, I don’t know why I am training for the upcoming race. Its most likely going to be between self and B and no one else. T backed out for reasons financial (round-a-bout sorta kinda things,,,) and there is no one else showing on that roster, and the race is just a couple of weeks out. If its just B and I, its going to be a buddy test, more than a race, and will likely be a close tie if not outright tie. We push each other, but not compete like that. it will be us pushing and pulling each other the entire length of that race and giving each other crap about ‘old dood’ or ‘outta shape seal’ or”you gonna let this old fart beat you??”,,,, well, you get the idea. 13 miles of shenanigans and cat calls, but not a whole lot of competitive nature.
Feels good though. Spent energy in ways I don’t usually get to spend them through the week. Relaxing it is,,, May need to make this more frequent now that the kids are ‘locked up’ again. May even get Lizzy out and push her around and see if I can get my sea-legs in her. I hate seeing her sit so much.
