When times look most bleak

I can’t say that I have been feeling all that bleak about the future of late, not great, but not bleak either. I know we are in for a world of shit: governments can’t run up debts as high are ours has and NOT have a collapse of some sort. Collapses always injure maim and kill to some extent. And we are headed for that crash.

Now, I stopped posting so much about the stoopid on high, and started making more posts about the stoopid on low, more local, and trying like heck to figure out how to ‘fix it’, but,,,, Well, the recipients need to WANT fixed, and lets just admit it, Dio, they don’t even realize they are broken,,,, *sigh*,,,, Yeah, thats a problem,,,, Then again, maybe I am the one broken,,, I don’t really fit in much here-bouts, that is quite obvious most days, BUT, here is where I stand and stand is all I can do, until I can work out a way to run,,, The Gulf Coast sounds nice right now,,,, Hurricane season approaching and all,,,,
I am not going to harp on others for being doom sayers, Been there, did it meself, and there are some that the whole ‘vibe’ just comes naturally to. Some others need to take a xanex and get off their hobby horse egos, but I am not going to point out those (that) particular person on this site (don’t wanna drive traffic to the guy that has NEVER admitted his wrongs, much like Malthus never admitted his ‘miscalculation’,,,_)

I didn’t need ‘a talkin’ too’ about doom pron,,, I was getting more than a bit sick of it myself, not just reading it around the webs, but repeating some variation of it. Are we in for hard times? yeah, I think so. Will it be as bad as “MadMax” or “Lord of the Flies”? Highly doubt it. People are going to die, yes, but people die everyday and we carry on. Are we going to have.a mass die-off? Seems to me, from some reports, we already are, just no one media outlet wants to discuss the “sudden’ or ‘unexplained’ that are being reported by Insurance companies and Mortuaries. Will our economy collapse? Why it hasn’t yet is testament to the faith WE have in our dollar, not the manipulations of THE FED, or the crony capitalism that infests our system. I think that ‘full faith and credit’ thing is in for a major beat down soon, but I am also seeing many many people doing things at the grocery stores that I hadn’t seen in ages: people buying cases of canned goods at a time, and looking embarrassed about it, Almost like they are embarrassed by “listening to that crazy uncle conspiracy theorist, but dangit, he’s been right a whole lot lately”. I don’t know how to do it myself, but I am sure there is a way of checking certain commodities for movement, and I would bet canned goods and (KNOW) ammunition are prime movers in most every portion of this country. I do know the local gunshop can’t keep anything but the oddball calibers (both ammo and gun) in stock; everything else is either already sold and gone or being ‘layawayed’ or on back-order.
things are going to get rough, no doubt, but life WILL go on, and maybe, like that addict going through DT’s, we need to spasms and fevers and all the rough stuff, so that we can clean out the system and gain a fresh start. I will do what I can at whatever location I am in when things get ‘krazzeee’, and have been trying to teach some of the young’uns what I can, as I can, and as they will listen,,, Not as much the last, but I keep at it anyway. HornDawg is starting to listen, some, but his brain is like a gerbil on crack most days,,, At least he started making inroads to saving money,,,,
If ya haven’t (you’re a new reader apparently,,,) start putting things aside, on a weekly basis. Even if you don’t stuff something in savings, put it into foodstuffs, longterm shelf-life stuff. $20 worth of canned goods won’t break your bank/budget, but put somewhere safe, will be a level of insurance you didn’t have last week. Don’t go counting on things to ‘stay near normal’: they can’t,,, normal right now depends on ubiquitous fuel supplies, and if that dollar crashes, Fuels will be the first casualty. The cascade effect will be fast and furious, but settle in quickly. What happens then,,, Dunno, but I doubt we will see golden hordes fleeing the cities, but I can see some cities burning in place,,,,(Think Sarah mentions something along this line in the first link.). Having been in a city that burned that turned on itself for a short spell, I can see the burn in place happening much easier than the golden hordes fleeing looking for food (and when they do get a clue that there is no one coming to save them, it will be too late for them.)
I’ll be honest,,, Even with all the doom and gloom, the propaganda corps going haywire,,, Maybe due to the propaganda corps going haywire to be honest,,, I am feeling quite good about things. It tells me that we are nearing the point when all of this krazzee is going to peter out and sanity will come swinging back in to fill the void. The only thing about that that makes me nervous is “WHO” will be the picture of that sanity? Too many want a leader to lead us back to the promised land of “Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness”,,,, All I can say to that? If you don’t reach out and grab it for yourself, you can sure as heck bet, no one is just going to give it to you,,, I’m not saying be evil about it, but if you don’t make yourself happy, no one is going to do it for you. And you may have read my take on “liberty” a time or two,,,, Those that have done time in the DOTMIL, can tell you ‘liberty’ is not a right, but granted, and can be stripped at will by someone other than yourself. SEEK FREEDOM instead. Freedom is a responsibility, that needs defended like we have not done on these shores since 1865,,,
Lets take it back when when the fools in power do their final over-reach, what say you?
